ComputerRX was recommended to me by some friends and I couldn't be more pleased. I stopped in his shop to explain my problems and was able to get an appointment the next day and Mike arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He brought not only what he knew he needed to solve my problems but also extra supplies "just in case" I needed more than I thought! He fixed everything, made a couple of changes to our browser and security system (no charge for those) to help the PC run better and finished his work more quickly -- an under budget -- than he estimated.
Overall, for anything more than a simple fix I will definitely call ComputerRX in the future.

Horrible!!!!  I had to drop my class I lost all the money I paid for the credits !!! I was very upset stressed and depressed for a long time!  I bought a fly touch 2 x220 for an android 3.0 project at school, I do not have the anything in front of so the dates I do not have right this took place over 8 day I believe thats correct I believe everything below is also as correct as possible this was a few months ago I will find the videos and not and correct anything thats wrong,... so having the tablet working right was so very important to me!!!!  I told Michael Bump this many times He kept telling me that he could do no problem he knew how to fix tablets!! when I received  the DC pin was lose then broke, so I went to have it fix the technician that did the work Michael bumps 2011 Nott St Schenectady NY 12309 told me he knew how to fix it, and that it would be great when he was done, instead I got it back and he had done a horrible job 1st he hard wired the DC to the motherboard which works and I knew he was going to do this, but he did not even finish that repair it was left unsolder at the external jack point and the solider job on the board  is just the worst I have ever seen ( and yes I have seen many solder job I can solider much better then what was done sloppy messy large drops of solder that joined contact points on the mother board)) I went to have a 2nd person look at I He is a master technician meaning he has every certification that one can get and 2 degrees in computer repair engineering and programming, So the 2nd technician said it could have easily be re-solder and a proper DC pin put back in by a person who knows what they are doing. there are tool marks and scratches in several spots this was done by Michael Bump I made only one mark on it, that was getting the plug cover out that covered the screw closest the DC in, (at least I took a video showing the whole tablet before he got it then a 2nd video was taken of all the damage when I got it back!! in and out)  the sound no longer worked form the speakers or the head phone jack. The 2nd tech said not to even try to fix it with out a schematic that  the 1st guy messed it up to badly and that there was no way of knowing what it looked like before he had touch it. To make it clear the only thing wrong when Michael Bump got it was the DC in PIN by the time I got it back it was useless he broke the head phone jack upon opening it to see what he had done I was appalled again the soldiering was just horrible and messy and plain done WRONG the tablet was basically destroyed!!! as it had to have sound!!!  He was very unapologetic unprofessional and just did not care that he ruined it the only thing he did was give me back the $60 that I had paid for the 1st repair the one he never finished anyway!! he should have at bare Minimum acted sorry like he cared a little he again knew how important this was to me !! he should had replaced it!!! Or gave me funds to replaced it If I had done that to someone I would have gotten a new one immediately and said sorry a hundred times!! I would let a chimp work on my tablets/computers before I ever went back to him!!He only cares about the profits,  I guess the thing that made me most mad was his complete lack of any concern over how badly he messed it up and that fact that he did not feel the need to really apologized or compensate me properly !!!.  Oh he did not even put the screws back in, I had to find replacements small enough to fit .!  I do not believe He ever know what he was doing with my tablet and should have never said he did!!.. in his defense he does PC work to I do not know if his knowledge is better there. But even if it is after how he treated me and what he did to my tablet I wouldn't!! could not! trust him at all !!!!!
Response from ComputeRx

"I am not sure how this review just now comes up 5 years later..but in any case... I eventually had to solder in an external jack and got it working. Because of this I did refund the $60 and I did not hear back at all afterwards. This is the first I have been made aware of this 5 years after the fact..The tablet was a cheap knock off making it really a throw away item and difficult to repair. I wish the customer had let me known directly, I would have replaced the $90 tablet or done anything else to help... If a repair is going to last more than a week (in rare cases, where I have to order a part outside of the country) I do offer loaner laptops (or tablets)..which I could have easily done in this case . I do apologize for any inconveniences..I just wish I was contacted first....5 years ago"
