They were responsive, professional and extremely neat.  There was a need to coordinate with another contractor on very short .notice.  That process was efficient, however some details were lost causing a delay.

The owner was not part of the work team, as he had been for 5 basement window replacement installations in June 2011.  Owner did check with his two men regularly during the two days they worked at my house.  All seemed to be fine.  At the end of the second day, the owner presented the bill, and due to the late hour (after 8pm) offered to inspect his team's work another time.  I had planned to purchase additional windows from him in 2012, along with other home improvement work. About 10 days later, I notice that one of the windows seemed to be unusually cold and leaking cold air into the house.  I repeatedly called the owner to arrange an inspection of the work and let him know of my concern with one of the windows.  I had reserve $500 cash for tips to the workers and noted that I had this waiting for him.  In the meantime, I determined that it was 20 degrees colder by this window, and ended up installed 'hair dryer' window wrap to stop some of the cold air leaking into my bedroom.   I registered my windows at Simonton, and worked with them on the issue.  Their technician determined that the sash was not installed properly and a claim was opened up to order a replacement in Dec 2011.  On Dec 24, the owner called me back, noted I was a good customer and agreed he would come back when the sash was in at the distributor in Schenectady.  I left numerous messages for the owner since then to follow up.  I contacted Simonton Feb 28, 2012 and the sash replacement has been sitting at the distributor since January 4!     I have given up on this owner and this company.  I would never recommend them.

The initial set of windows were delivered scratched and they were poorly installed. There were leaks around the edges as well. They came back out and did do the right thing by re installing all new windows that were not scratched. I was not too pleased that I had to go through the process of having a new set installed, but I was happy that they made it right.

THE WINDOWS WERE GREAT. HE SHOWED UP WHEN HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO DISPUTE ABOUT THE PRICE. HE CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF AND IT WAS DONE IN ONE DAY.

THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THEIR WORK AND VERY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. THEIR PRODUCTS ARE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER COMPANIES, BUT THEY ARE WORTH IT BECAUSE THEY GET THINGS DONE RIGHT.
