The employees are great: they know about hardware and share their knowledge. The merchandise carried ranges from consumer goods (light bulbs, garden hose, sand, thermometers etc.) to real hardware store stuff (plumbing, electrical, etc.) The prices vary from very reasonable to rather high, depending on the item.
