I used Grigg and Davis Engineers to replace retaining walls in my terraced backyard. From start to finish, Louise Grigg did an excellent job of planning, executing and finishing the job. She kept me informed throughout the process and made some very beneficial suggestions. I have complete confidence in her abilities. I highly recommend Grigg and Davis Engineers.

We hired Grigg & Davis to prepare the necessary documents and provide engineering services in connection with replacing a retaining wall that holds up the back of our lawn. The price quoted for the job was reasonable, but we were concerned with additional hourly rates for a lot of other aspects that didn't fall within the fixed price quote, so we negotiated a cap on additional hours without our consent to try and avoid huge overages.
We worked with Louise Grigg and I will say that she is very punctual and the quality of work done was excellent. However, they were not sensitive to our needs, especially regarding keeping costs down. Every part of the other services, where the price was hourly, the work done was overkill. Where three price quotes would have been sufficient, they solicited five. Where X would have been sufficient, they wanted to do Y and Z. We were thankful for our masonry/construction company, as they would often tell us truthfully what was required and what was excess, and provided suggestions on ways to minimize the costs and work involved.
In the end, I would say that if you have a large project (like a certain town fire station that they mistakenly sent me estimates and preliminary plans for), they would be a fine choice, but if you are a residential customer, they are not suited or responsive to such needs.
