Whelan's Total Property Manaement

We called for an estimate to have our porch redone and a rep came to measure after a few days. after about a week we had to call for the estimate price. we gave the go ahead for the job and there were some follow up they had to do as far as getting a color match on accessories to complete the job.that took weeks and several calls on our behalf to stimulate any type of response. The owner came to our house one day to drop off a fence cap they took as a color swatch to match the accessories and gave us a color choice of 2 different material to complete the job, one obviously more money that he said he would absorb to do the job. he told us to call him when we new which sample we were going with which we did the following day. we called him several times with no return calls. much of this from the beginning, if I had to guess between my wife and myself we must have called at least 6-7 times all together. I finally got the owner on the phone making sure to call from a different phone# and he said he was out of town for a few days and I was on the list to be called today- ok ?, Further more he said his man that did this work for him cut his arm and that my job could not be done until June now minding we called inationally towards the end of March and that he understood that if I did no longer want to do it, Funny I told him you understand- I don't ?.Bottom line I believe they estimated to low, it was the lowest estimate of 4 and it was not lucrative enough to do my small job especially with the added exspense of the materials and in my opinion he blew me off. They certainly did not seem that they were pursuing me for my business anytime throughout the process. I cant rate their work, they never started but they did waste a month of my time and now I have to start over again as many other companies are booked as now this is when they busy. I now know to get it in writing and to get a time line established, Got to figure if after 2 weeks you don't get a date and there not returning your calls they don't want your business, Shame on me for waiting so long.
