Tanya's Fine European Tailoring

They are great. Its unbelievable how she just can look at the garment on you and tailor it to your body. Never had a problem and I never worry if it will come out right. She truly is an excellent tailor!

Have been going to Tanya for many years. Her work has always exceeded my expectations.
Pricing is very reasonable?especially when considering the superior quality of
Tanya?s expert skills. Garments were invariably ready for pickup as promised. Never
had to wait more than two or three minutes to have something marked and pinned
for alterations. This is a fabulous place that has my highest recommendation!

We all can't have the perfect body. My trouble spot is the waistline. It’s one size larger than the rest of me. So I am forced to buy clothes one size larger to fit the waist, and have the rest taken in. It takes an expert tailor to do it right. I’ve had clothes practically ruined by people who claim to do alterations, only to find that their tailoring skills weren’t up to providing the fit I’m looking for.
Upon moving to Sayville, Long Island, two years ago, I discovered Tanya's Fine European Tailoring and never looked back. Over that time I've taken many garments to Tanya for alternations, and found her skills to be superb. The wedding suit mentioned above is a perfect example. It consists of a dress and a jacket. Naturally, I had to buy it one size larger to fit the waist.
As I stood in her shop wearing the dress part of the garment (thinking more about the hem than anything else), Tanya made some suggestions as she began pinning. These included taking in the top part of the bodice, bypassing the waist, and continuing to shape the dress from the hips down to the hem. She also adjusted the darts at the bust just to make things perfect. Then Tanya moved on to the jacket and took in the sides for a slimmer look (and who doesn't like slimmer!).
The result is an unbelievable fit. My new suit looks like it was made for me from absolute scratch! I can't wait to show it off at the wedding.
