Auto Service
I rarely write bad reviews but in this case I think it is more than warranted. The reviews here are misleading. My car has received normal maintenance and low level repairs at 3 different service centers in 3 different states. It was natural for me to look up a service center when I moved out here. My 2009 Subaru Forester with 85,000 miles had been having moments when the engine raced before dropping into gear. The repair might well have been warranted but given the abysmal service I received during the MONTH my car was in their care and the TWO repairs they had to do because they botched the first transmission replacement I am not as confident.
The car was at the center for almost 2 weeks before the actual issue (the transmission) was diagnosed. During that time I asked for my cars windshield wipers to be replaced- the back ones are factory order and I couldn't replace them on my own. I was charged for it. . . but when I picked my car up during a rainstorm they had not been installed. Additionally, my left front headlight suddenly had stopped working. . . and I was allowed to drive off the lot with it. Oh, let's not forget the most critical issue: I immediately noticed a nagging hum in the engine when I put the car past 30 miles an hour. When the manager called me the next day to ask how things were I immediately told him about these issues. He took me in quickly, drove the car around, and told me that it was a pinion bearing/screw that was malfunctioning. . . in the transmission he had just installed. By this time I have been out of a car for about 3 weeks. The manager tried to "make things right" by loaning me a Subaru company car at no cost for the next week. By the time the car was ready and I could pick it up I had been without my own car for a full MONTH. When I arrived the manager told me he had driven it himself to make sure everything was functional. He did drive my car around: all the way to E. Oh, and he didn't bother to get the car washed, I have a nifty coupon for that. As someone who had patiently waited for nearly a month to have a $6,000 repair done I think that the tiniest courtesy would have been to give me $2 worth of gas so I could make it to the gas station. Given the month of time, the out of pocket expenses for the rental I was driving as they botched the first repair, and the amount of money I spent, the lack of courtesy and respect this center has for its customers speaks for itself. I would never recommend anyone take a car there.

They’re excellent, but I think sometimes they try to make a little money by pushing things that you normally would not do. However, they’re no worse than any other auto place that I’ve been to and probably better than most of them.

Clean, professional, do what they say for the price agreed. No pressure. Just hard to get through on the phone sometimes. Make appointment online to free up the phone lines.
