HORRIBLY! I was just told by Tom Sutton heating & plumbing that they will not stand behind the generator repair failure where I almost lost an $8,500 boiler, hot water heater and had to buy two new sump pumps and pay for a plumber's visit and clean up after the generator failed during the storm. I also lost many items in the flooded basement. The fire dept and police were here 4x throughout the day trying to deal with the flooding, thanks to the failure of the generator to kick on when the power went off. This is the specific reason that I spent hundreds of dollars to repair the generator. Sutton basically told me to get lost. What is wrong with some companies? They don't seem to have any sense of responsibility or decency for other people. I really do not know how some of these companies can stay in business? It's truly disappointing that the old Sears Roebuck attitude has gone the way of the dinosaur.

I made the calls in the morning, actually spoke with a very nice woman and not an answering machine, and someone was at the house by the afternoon. What was so very helpful was that I had appointments and she scheduled the jobs around my appointments - that is such a plus!!!! The man who came to do the job did it quickly and efficiently. He also educated me that the supposable "flushable wipes" are really NOT flushable. :) Tom Sutton Electrical Plumbing & Heating is an excellent company as far as I'm concerned.

My kitchen sink wouldn't drain.  It was clogged far out in the line to the drywell.  Their guy unclogged it.  He was courteous, professional, and neat.
I was surprised that they charged from portal to portal, which added an hour to the charge.
However, they did come out the day after I called and did not charge extra for saturday service.  They did good work, and charge less than the companies that specialize in unclogging drains like roto router and such.

I used them for quite a few issues. I felt general overcharged, misinformed and generally not in good hands. It may have been not overall representative of the company and just a few of their workers, but that was enough for me to move on.

The electrician did a decent job, although it did take him far more time than I ever would have imagined. My mistake, and I acknowledge it was a big one, was not getting an estimate before having the work done. I used this company in the past and did get estimates first, which were high, but not off the charts. I honestly thought that this was a relatively simple job (installing a wall sconce and dimmer), which is what I said when I called for the appointment. While I erred in not getting an estimate, I frankly should have been told that it was more involved than I had indicated.
Upon getting the bill, I did call the company’s owner, Tom Sutton, for an explanation. I had to call twice and it took him 4 days to get back to me, which he did today, the July 4th holiday. I was told that the electrician gets $95 an hour (although I wonder how much of that he actually gets!), which is higher than the rates that licensed electricians get in New York City! Additionally, I was charged $56 in supplies, primarily wiring, as I provided both the sconce and the dimmer switch. When I expressed my belief that the charges were excessive, Sutton couldn’t care less…he was unfriendly and his attitude was kind of…”too bad, your problem.”
At any rate, needless to say I won’t be using these guys again, and just thought I’d let other Angie’s list folks know to beware of their outrageous costs, and the owner’s indifferent and unfriendly customer service.

This was the third time that I have used them. They are reliable, efficient, friendly, and they show up on time.

I was pleased with every aspect of Tom Sutton Electrical Plumbing and Heating Service. Appointment was set up quickly, electrician arrived on time, estimate was sent out immediately and work performed shortly thereafter. Everyone I dealt with was professional and courteous. The electrician, Mike, helped me in determining what was needed, and his work was neat and of very well done. I will use this company again without hesitation.

A couple of other electricians had tried to fix this, but said it was impossible, that I'd have to get all new baseboards. Expensive as this was, it ultimately saved me money.

It was expensive because he was only here for a few minutes. It was Thanksgiving Day and he came right away, so I guess I can't really complain. He was responsive, so that was good. He was also friendly, knowledgeable, and knew what the problem was right away.

Used Tom Sutton's business for past 11 years. I use them for heating plumbing problems. My former neighbors used him and my sister calls on them. They always return calls and will usually come same day. I even called on a weekend for a and quot;nonand quot; emergency. Pat came the same day. It is nice to see the same tech. Tom has even shown up at my sister's.

Tom Suttons crew showed up promptly and professionally with full knowledge of the work scope and every material they needed to complete the job. They were polite, respectful, and willing to answer all my questions.

Very good experience. Could have completely replaced bathroom fixtures and charged me a lot of , but instead found a replacement part and was able to save me a lot of money. Professional, friendly, and affordable. Asked when I wanted the work done and even showed up early for the job. Will definitely use again.

It was a Saturday, I left a message on the machine that my furnace wouldn't start up. It was a couple hours, but I got a call back from the on-call person (he'd been knee deep in another emergency and didn't want to contact me until he was sure when he could come.) and he came right over.

This was a tech that had worked on various things in my house over the years. Always friendly and cheerful, very knowledgeable and down to earth, meticulous, and get's the job done with no nonsense.

It took about a couple hours, he cleaned the furnace thoroughly, checked pressures and got things started up again, cleaned up, then went on his merry way.

Repair went well and I was satisfied, cost however was high.

They excavated my septic tank. They repaired a broken pipe and snaked the toilets. They serviced my generator and cleaned and serviced my old furnace. They were easy to get a hold of during the week but harder to contact on the weekends.
