"The computer was brought to us for repair and required a complete reload. That service along with data recover was performed at our store. At that point the client wanted the computer installed at her new home. Onsite a new router and her existing printer were configured. Test pages were printed before the technician left. Weeks later she called saying the printer stopped working. Since there is no logical reason for it to stop working unless it failed or was reconfigured incorrectly we suggested contacting the manufacture first. It was still under manufacture warranty, and was purchased else ware. A service call would have likely resulted in additional fees that might be avoided with a call to the manufacturer. No further calls were received. The printer install was a very small part of the entire job which took a several hours and she mentions no complaints about the rest of the work. If the printer did not fail and required configuration it was due to end user error. The manufacturer would have resolved the issue at no charge. It seems the customer wanted us to fix their mistake at no charge on a printer not purchased from us."
