Bridge Street Family Medicine

This doctor almost ended my life with her inept misdiagnosis and treatment.  I was on the verge of a coma when she finally woke up to my situation and only after I was begging her for help. Thankfully I was saved but never put your life into her hands.  She's a charlatin and should lose her license to practice.  Her husband is a big wig doctor and that is the only reason she's still around as he protects her from what will her fate...losing her license because she killed someone...death by doctor.

She continued to give me medication that was killing me.  She's a total moron who has no business practicing medicine.  Her husband is a big wig doctor which is probably why she wasn't fired and reported for malpractice.  Run as fast as you can.

He has good communication and he is friendly. Someone in the office is always available if he is not in. He is thorough and has good bedside manner.

Dr. Costley's office staff is rude, obnoxious, and makes you wait forever on hold. Dr. Costley however, is wonderful.

He seems to very capable and very helpful. He was able to answer my questions and his treatment seems to be okay. His office is very good. Occasionally, I have to wait for a while, but it's never a long wait.

It was difficult to get an appointment with the medical doctor. I had chosen Dr. Costley because of good reviews, even though her office was a significant distance from my home. I had to wait a long time before I got into my appointment each time I went there. I felt my interaction with her was positive, and she had good diagnostic skills. Also, her nurse was responsive and knowledeable. However, there was not a mechanism for follow up in place that was workable. I found myself calling the office repeatedly and leaving messages that were not conveyed correctly by staff. I received brief messages in the mail to give results of tests, but was unable to get a further explanation when I called. Finally I changed medical doctors because it was too difficult to deal with the whole system.

The office staff were fine. There was a bit of a backup on the line to check in when I first arrived, but not too long. I always bring a book with me for the waiting room, and that made the waiting time go fast - I don't think it was very long. The nurse asked me lots of questions and entered the information about my meds and supplements, which I had brought with me, into the computer. That seemed efficient and I was pleased to see that the office is automated and not using paper files. The doctor then used that information when she came in. At the end of the visit the office provided me with print-out information on the referrals Dr. Costley had given me, making setting up those appointments easy.

I have been a patient at Bridge St. for many years. Scheduling routine visits can involve long waits, and more than once such visits have been rescheduled by the doctor. That seems to be the price of using a popular practice, and I think it is worth it. Whenever I have had an immediate concern (illness, pain, anything worrisome) I have been given a same-day appointment, so accessibility is excellent when really needed.
The paperwork can be a hassle, but that seems to be true everywhere. Hopefully the move to electronic health records that Bridge St. is undertaking will alleviate some of the hassle—but not so far.
Although I am Dr. Heslin’s patient, I have also been seen by Dr. Costley and Pam DiStefano. I am very comfortable with all these providers and have always been happy with the treatment received.
Dr. Heslin guided me through a major health crisis during the last few years. I am VERY glad he was my primary-care doctor. He visited me daily while I was in the hospital and followed my progress closely. I am VERY impressed with the amount of time he gave when I really needed it.
At Bridge St. I feel like a human being being treated by other human beings.

Great doctors and nurses!

I had not allotted time for a full physical, and that particular day the doctor was running very late.  The office is really not good about mentioning that the doctor is late. The few times she's been late, it was by a good margin due to complications on her rounds.  On the one hand I am pleased to know that she will take the time needed to deal with problems when they come up,  On the other hand I would also appreciate it if the office told me she was late, and gave me the option to reschedule -- surely that helps out the doctor as well?
