Estimate only. Very professional. However, for our whole home renovation, they were well beyond our budget.. We found other contractors who can give us the high quality finished product we are looking for at a far lower price.

Excellent. Their project manager was terrific.

The rough price estimate I got over the phone to do this would be about $30K over what my current home value is. This company has a great reputation for doing fine work. We just weren't in the same neighborhood price-wise.

Unfortunately, Teakwood was just a little out of our price range. They have done work for some of our neighbors who had good experiences with them and I know they are very well thought of.

They came to our home, owner and assistant, to evaluate our plans. They were very professional and informative. When we recieved the proposal, a few weeks longer than promised, we were disappointed. The proposal although 99.9% correct in regard to work to be performed, it did not break down the labor for each componant. For example, it did not specify how much the electrical work would cost, or how much installing the hardwood floor would cost, or how much the painting would costs etc. This made it impossible for us to compare their labor costs to that of other contractors we had contacted. For a modest kitchen remodel, no wall removal or any structural changes except for a stove venting duct to be installed through our kitchen ceiling, the labor was approximately $25,000. Yes they promised to take total control of the project using their own people including picking up all materials, appliances etc., but $25000 labor for the project which they indicated could take up to 2 months seemed very high. We have found that proposals provided by most contractors are light on specificity. Perhaps you could lobby for a new consumer portection law requiring such on all remodeling projects.

I was very happy with them. They were meticulous and they would find and fix mistakes before I saw them. They were professional and I can’t say enough good about them. I think they were worth every penny I spent with them. I’d have them do my whole house if I could.

We decided not to complete our remodeling project - we moved to a new house instead.

After two years, we had a partially finished home and a general contractor that took our money and did not pay the subcontractors. We brought Jim Sasko and Teakwood builders in to finish the house and they were absolutely the best. Very organized and professional. I strongly recommend them for any job.

The design work was wonderful. They showed up when they said they were going to. They were very neat and clean. They used excellent quality materials. They were willing to work with us to meet our requests and needs.
