Barry was incredibly responsive. He actually arrived 15 minutes early. He didn't have the right part, so he ran to Home Depot and found it. He came back and fixed the toilet. He was very professional, courteous and communicative.

Vendor arrived when he said he would.  Checked out the problem, went to Lowe's to get replacement part and repaired/replaced the faulty parts.
This is my second time using BK's Custom Services and it has worked out well on both occasions.

We were new to the area when we moved into our home last year and immediately went about asking for recommendations on who did high quality work locally for a variety of home improvement work. Barry was the name that everyone would bring up proudly and without reservation as the handyman and carpenter to trust with anything. He is incredibly responsive and reliable and it is no wonder why people hold him in such high regard. He is very reasonable and has a top-quality standard of work. Every job he has finished is at (or under) budget and timeline. Most jobs he finishes in a few hours on the same day unless there's some drying, etc that needs to take place before finishing. I was pleasantly surprised when he submitted the receipts from home depot with his first work order and wanted to make sure I understood where every penny had gone. His knowledge has covered every home question I've been able to throw at him and I completely trust him in my home and to do things the right way every time.

He was very prompt, worked right through the time allotted, very neat and clean, and he was great at touching base with me to resolve issues.

Barry is the consummate professional. He returned all calls in a timely manner, arrived at the house quickly and provided a detailed cost estimate and time frame in which the work would be completed.  He showed up on time and ready to go on the start date and every day thereafter. He removed the washer and dryer and other cabinets from the room and meticulously laid the tile. His suggestions on the type of tiles and floor design were spot on. When he was done, his clean-up was thorough and complete.
As an aside, we've used Barry for interior painting, custom furniture, garage door installation and several outdoor projects. In every case he's responsive, creative and takes great care to insure your house is protected when he's doing the job. I haven't found anyone better than Barry in my dealings with contractors.  

Barry is extremely reliable and dependable. He shows up every morning at the same exact time - the time we agreed to. He cleans up at the close of every day - it's like he wasn't there. He's got incredible attention to detail. And he's very versatile.

What Barry does best is carpentry. He's built two very big structures - wall units - one with three desks and shelves in the study for the kids, and the other around our fireplace in the main room. We had him do the family room unit first and a few years later back to do the study. We get compliments regularly on all his work.

Barry's done small jobs for us (most recently a loft for my daughter's bed) and also HUGE jobs for us (moving walls and replacing all our floors). They've all gone very well.

The thing I appreciate most is that Barry cares. If he sees something that needs attention, he will call it out. Not to pad his time and charge more, but because he knows we'd care.

I completely trust this guy. He's done phenomenal work and is reasonably priced. He's easy to talk to and he's a nice, trustworthy, hardworking guy. I've referred him to a number of friends and neighbors and they've all also raved about him.

Barry is a rare find as a general handyman and as a high end cabinet maker / carpenter. I highly recommend.

Barry did the job as promised on the day promised. As always, he completed the job to his usual standards of perfection, cleaned up as he went and charged what he estimated. Barry has done many jobs for us over the years, from painting to handyman tasks, small electrical jobs, exterior doors - and always does the job to perfection.

As with all of Barry's projects, the bathroom was completed with precision in a timely fashion. Barry arrives for work promptly at 8:00 a.m. and works through the day without breaks until 3:00 or 3:30. At the end of each workday, Barry cleans up from his day's work and puts his equipment and tools out of the way. Work was completed in the time frame promised, when it was promised and close to the estimate barring any unforeseen issues.

Barry was here everyday for three weeks, arriving by 8:00 a.m.and working straight through till about 3:30 p.m.. He worked alone on the entire job. At the end of each day, Barry cleaned up the space, moved his tools into the garage and made the entire process as quick and painless as possible. He worked in a manner that allowed us a sink to use for as long as possible. Barry was considerate of our design plan and did everything possible to enable that. Barry is a detail oriented, conscientious worker who is fastidious about being precise in his work. He does not, and will not, cut corners for speed or convenience. When he finishes a job it is done to perfection - yours and his.
