Issue was too expensive to repair so it was a $100 + tax service call to tell us the washer needed replacing. We bought a new washer from Home Depot that was on sale instead of buying one from Adirondack Appliance. I was somewhat put off that Adirondack Appliance wouldn't credit the cost of the service call on the bad washer towards the purchase of a new one if we bought it from them. If they had, I probably would have bought my new washer from Adirondack Appliance but since they wouldn't we shopped elsewhere.

My subzero refrigerator stopped cooling. Came out promptly replaced the cooling fan & said to watch if it cooled back down if not I needed a new condenser. Was quoted an additional $1600 for that repair... It didn't cool back down. Was told I had to order the part myself & they would come install it?!

I contacted subzero directly to order the part & I was informed Adirondack is NOT an authorized service provider. Subzero gave me a list of authorized providers & mailed me the part.... No charge. Since that seemed like an expensive repair I did my due diligence & called Best Appliance Repair & paid for them to come out & give me an estimate too. They came out immediately checked & replaced my temperature sensor, charged me $250 & my refrigerator immediately came down to temperature.

Mind you I literally would have been out 2k now for work that never would have fixed my fridge! I gave Adirondack the benefit of the doubt & figure mistakes happen informed them about the misdiagnoses. They didn't believe me.... Literally. The way they wouldn't acknowledge or try & understand & learn from their mistake was appalling. Might want to check the yelp vs Angie's list rating on this one. Angie you steered my off the road! I contacted Viking to find an Authorized service provider to fix my oven...

We have tried many times to have our Wolf range repaired - using the company we purchased it from (Feiden - don't use them they are terrible for service) and also a company that the Wolf corporate offices referred us to.  Neither were able to fix the problem.  As a last resort we tried calling Adirondack Appliance and they came right out.  (We wish that Wolf corporate would have referred us to them when we first called!)
They are easy to work with, show up when they say they are coming and they fix the appliance perfectly!
Thank you very much for good service!

We had a triple whammy of appliance breakdowns. Service was prompt. The serviceman quickly repaired the regrigerator and microwave. He advised not to fix the washer but to let i go until it quit. He could fix it but it would be at least $800 to repair.

I called Adirondack Appliance and was able to scheduled an appointment on pretty short notice - I think it was only a few days. Anyway, the repairman -- I don't remember his name -- was a nice enough guy and arrived at the scheduled time. Within about 30 seconds of spinning the machine's front-loading metal basket, the repairman determined that the unit was totally shot and that fixing it would far exceed the price of replacing it new. The cost for this advice? $107.00 including tax. In fairness, they disclosed up front the price was $100 to look at it. But still, $107 including tax to drive 1/2 mile from their place to mine for what was literally a 5 minute visit? I asked that maybe they could knock off $25 or so because the visit was so brief. The answer was 'no' as the price was absolutely non-negotiable.

So in terms of the quality of the repair, I can't say because there weren't any. I might use these guys again but I would shop around first a little more. I feel like a paid a lot of money for very little work.

It went very well. When he came back for the repair (to replace the part) it was earlier than originally expected which was great. He replaced it quickly and was friendly and professional. I think since it was a local business they were able to get here quickly. I will definitely use them again.

My refrigerator suddenly started leaking, and the water was getting under the floorboards creating the potential for serious damage + mold. Once I figured out that the water was coming from the refrigerator (and not plumbing), I called Adirondack Appliance. They came w/in 3 hours, diagnosed the problem quickly and repaired it on the spot. It turns out to be a broken connection to a water filter that did very little. Terry bypassed the filter and the problem was solved. He explained that the filter was an $80 part, didn't do much and he didn't want to sell me a new one when I didn't need it. Clean, professional, nice, inexpensive. I recommend them highly.

They came very quickly. He assessed the situation and determined that it was an issue for a plumber. He was very charming to interact with and it was a very good experience. In fact, I will go back to them, whenever the washer does need to be replaced.

The price was steep: $80 just to walk in the door. However, he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and when he left I had the part numbers and price for the parts I needed, as well as some good advice for my cranky ASKO washers and dryers that came with the house. Based on his advice I shopped around for a new dishwasher and made a selection I am very happy with.

One should be mindful that this firm also sells appliances, and they'll be more than happy to sell you a new one. When I checked, their prices were pretty steep when comparable models were much cheaper at Lowes at the time. But you can't beat their technical knowledge, at least I haven't found comparable, so I plan to use them in the future for services on appliances I buy elsewhere.

The fridge was shot. So, he recommended that I purchased a new one and I did. I replaced it. They were prompt and it was easy to get an appointment. They were very open housed. They walked me through it and explained exactly about what the problem was. The service person was great. I got a new fridge ultimately. They did not try and make me do repairs just to get more money out of me. I thought that their price was fair for the service call. The quality of service was good. They came out and did a good job of recommending the correct course of action.

The repairman was at the house promptly and worked quickly. Secured dishwasher into the wall (previous owner of house failed to have this done) and then he checked out the refrigerator problem. The refrigerator problem was a venting problem and electrical issue which were both fixed. I would use this company again and would recommend them to others.
