SCHRADER GENERAL CONTRACTING INC
About us
Schrader General Contracting has been building in the tri-lakes for over 16 years. We are a small firm that provides one on one customer service to build your structure from the ground up. We specialize in custom built homes and also do some commercial structures. We are known for our honest, hardworking team of skilled carpenters. Schrader General Contracting is fully insured and bonded for up to a million dollars and unlike some contractors, our crew is fully covered under Workmen Compensation for the homeowners security. We have great established business relationships with our concrete, electrical, heating subcontractors, but all of that work is overseen by the OWNER of Schrader General Contracting from beginning to end. Framing, sheathing, plumbing, some heating, windows, doors, kitchen, baths, entire interior (including most flooring)is done by our own team. And many on our team have been with us for 6-11 years and really know construction. We will guide you through the entire construction process so you (our customer)will feel comfortable with the decisions you make during the project. We don't cut corners! We are known for building it right and building it well.

"Thank you for the great report! Although we have always found "time and material" to be the most fair to both the homeowner and Schrader General Contracting, in the current market we are providing bid jobs to those who feel it's a must. Bid jobs are usually inflated to provide the contractor with enough "cushion" to protect his interests in making a profit from a job. Especially with fluctuations regarding material pricing from one month to the next. Many times unforeseen problems arise during the excavation of a project that requires blasting, drainage issues, etc. so contractors will protect themselves with inflated costs associated with any hurdles that might pop up. And as the member stated...our crew is not an interior painting crew and we have since turned most of our painting over to our painting subcontractor. Lessons learned! We'd like to say that we really enjoyed doing business with the members and they are really great people to work for! And we aren't just saying that for "PR" sake. Thanks again!"
