We hired and contracted Crossroads Construction to do a bathroom renovation. It is a father/son team. They did not start when they said they would. There would be days when no one would show up. It went from a 2 week to 3 week reno to over two months. When we received the first receipt for payment it was on Zevco paper. They have same address, different phone number and email. The son said he started a company in his own name and that it was no big deal. Work (tile, tape and spackle, electric etc) was subpar. The son Terrence Revere Jr. came into my home and screamed at my mother and myself. And my husband received a voicemail that was threatening towards me. When we fired him he text messaged and left voicemails for my husband that were completely unprofessional. I had to block his number because he was harassing us. He took advantage of my husband and myself and so did the father who said he would make everything right and then disappeared leaving it to his son. I just found out my floor is pitched away from the shower drain when it should have been pitched towards it because we did a barrier free bathroom for my handicapped father. And the plumbing apparently done by a non licensed plumber is not to code. None of the vendors he used were licensed. And both Zevco and Crossroads were not licensed at the time this happened and they did a lot of work in my town after the flooding from Hurricane Sandy. They used sheetrock you usually don't use in bathrooms. The tape and spackle job was horrible. The tile work in my shower was not done correctly and is popping out in corners, the border was sunk in when it shouldn't be. The electrical work was sloppy lights were hung lopsided. He told me I did not need permits. And he tried to give me change orders after they did work. The change orders came about because of errors they made.
