It gives me great pleasure to write this recommendation on behalf of Evolve Remodeling Group. They were recommended to me from a design consultant from Porcelanosa in Greenwich, Ct. She told me I had to use Evolve Remodeling Group because, “ they get the job done and they do exceptional work!” Trusting her recommendation, I met both of them at my home and they worked together to help me design two new full baths and one powder room right then and there! Jonathan was professional, friendly and I too was confident that he would get the job done! Jonathan patiently walked through the house with me, and he suggested various changes I could make to upgrade my home. He then sent me a very detailed proposal and thoroughly answered all of my questions and concerns. I was completely impressed with Jonathan’s skills as an exceptional coordinator and leader. Each day his team arrived on time and knew exactly what needed to get accomplished and his amazing team, Xavier and Vincent, completed the task. I was not living at the residence during the renovation and felt completely comfortable and trusted that his team had a key to my home. When I stopped in each day, I was always so grateful to see them happily working and they always showed and explained to me what they were working on. They were patient with me, answered all of my questions, and always left my home clean! They were a joy to work with and have in my home! It was evident that Xavier and Vincent were experienced, loved their job and enjoyed sharing their love for what they do, with their client. I am so grateful to them for all of their hard work turning my tired outdated home into a Spa~ Zen like updated home! I also watched and admired Jonathan’s work along side his team~with their respect, his level of knowledge, expertise and good taste, inspired my trust. He helped guide and recommended so many products including a kitchen counter top, kitchen pulls, kitchen sink, faucet, floor staining, an wall paint colors, and more! I knew his recommendations would be perfect, and they were exactly what I liked! Evolve Remodeling Group really focused on making me feel confident in making all my design choices. One example of this was having Romina meet me at the stone yard. She showed and explained to me the different kinds of countertops, the benefits of each and answered all of my questions. I think this customer service is what elevates Evolve Remodeling Group above any other company. They truly want their client to feel confident and at ease with their decisions and untimely thrilled with the end result. In addition to the bathroom renovations, Evolve Remodeling Group installed a new counter top, backsplash, all new appliances, updated electrical work throughout the house, redid the floors and helped do anything and everything that I needed to move in! They also helped me remove and redesign the existing backyard landscaping including replanting plants, replacing a fence and constructing a garden! In addition, to all of this, they had a locksmith change my locks and door knobs throughout the house, so that I felt comfortable moving in and finally they organized a post construction cleaning, so that my house was move in ready! And I was! My home has been transformed and is so beautiful thanks to Evolve Remodeling Group! They were reliable, knowledgeable, experienced, trustworthy, and always put the client needs first!! They got the job done, did exceptional work and are simply, THE BEST!

Evolve Remodeling was great. Jon and Romina are professional, understanding and available. They walked us through the process and finished beautiful work right on time. If we ever do another renovation, they will we our first phone all!

Evolve did a fantastic job and met/exceeded all of our expectations. John came to our house at least 3 times prior to work beginning to provide us with quotes, walk us through his process, and answer all of our questions. He was very patient and it was clear that he really cared about catering to our vision. He offered a number of outside of the box solutions, which helped to provide us with what we wanted at a reasonable cost. John's team was punctual, knowledgeable, and quite respectful of our house. We found they provided a nice balance of working at a diligent pace while also paying close attention to detail. We were extremely happy with the work. In addition to completing the job we outlined in our contract, Evolve helped us with a number of other tasks with our house at no/minimum extra cost. Our basement and the rest of our home was left in immaculate condition after John's team left. John was also very practical and upfront with us in terms of the timing, cost, and everything involved with the project (i.e. there weren't any bait and switch tactics). We look forward to using Evolve for future jobs going forward and would happily recommend them to anyone.

From start to finish, Evolve has been professional, reliable and has done everything above and beyond with regards to quality. They take the time to hire the right people, coordinate amongst the various trades to ensure everything gets done on a timely basis and always pays attention to workmanship. I cannot recommend anyone more highly than Evolve. I will continue to use them for other jobs in the future.

Perfectly. The work was done neatly and beautifully. The quality of the work is top notch and I would not hesitate to use Evolve if/when we have another project. They are easy to communicate with and extremely responsive to any issues. For example: I had an electrical issue with a basement furnace two weeks after the job was finished ( we don't use that zone often ). Called Evolve and someone was out to my house the next day and took care of the problem. I really appreciate the professionalism of this company.

Jonathan and his group did an excellent job in remodeling our newly purchased home. We were able to update its original 1980s look to a modern design. Jonathan was very helpful in making suggestions, since there are hundreds of small decisions a first time homeowner needs to make to gut remodel several bathrooms, and other rooms. We closed on the home in July and were able to move our family in the first week of October. Evolve was able to do 95% of the remodeling work in that timespan. We are very happy with their work and their initial price quote.

I recently bought a home where the basement had previously constructed walls and existing electricity, but it was never completed. Evolve came in and finished one of the rooms. They did the job in a timely manner and with excellent attention to detail. Several other trades commented on how good their work looked. They did not cut corners and did everything they said they would. 
Most importantly, the GC was a joy to work with. Very pleasant man and super responsive.

I couldn't be more pleased. All the work surpassed my expectations. The did extensive remodeling after a flood caused by frozen pipes. The kitchen is extraordinary. The floors look better than they ever did. They painting and repair of walks and woodwork is amazing. John gave me advice and input throughout this process. He immediately responded to all my queries. I trust him and recommend Evolve without any reservations.

Very impressive job by Jon and his team.  Renovated bath in100+ year old home in a few short weeks. There were a couple of surprises behind wall and floor (there always are).  Jon assessed each issue and consulted with me on best solutions.  His team was super clean, punctual, professional, excellent coordination and real attention to details. They did everything on time.   As mentioned there were some site conditions no one could have anticipated at job start.   Those  resulted in change orders.  I have to say that the change orders pricing was very appropriate .  We had one call back because of a design issue with the sink we chose, they came same day to correct problem.  We are very satisfied.

The house looks brand new! What an amazing job John's team did. I am not a designer and John provided a lot of suggestions and direction as to different options which was a huge help in the selection of fixtures, trims and doors that would fit well within my Cape Style home. The team was very responsive, and provided updates and statuses throughout the remodel. They worked efficiently and provided an extra level of service by thinking through solutions based on the layout and flow of the home. I am looking forward to more projects!

After hearing all horror stories about remodeling projects gone wrong, my wife and I are very pleased that we hired Evolve Remodeling. John is a very professional project manager and is always ready to go the extra mile in order to deliver high quality job. Jonathan?s team is highly experienced and takes pride in what it does. Our project was very extensive, and we are very pleased with our ?evolved? home!

Overall they were very good.  They were pleasant and professional to work with.  They stayed very close to the original estimate.

Overall everything went very smoothly.  John and his crew were very professional, very courteous, and were very patient with all of the different requests I through at them.  They worked with us on all of the little different details and finishes that were available, and helped my Wife and I turn our dream of a living space into reality.  All of the work they did was very top notch, high quality, and was exactly the way we wanted it.  If you're looking for a Company that can fix/finish/remodel/renovate any room or space from A-Z, look no further than Evolve.

We would recommend Evolve Remodeling and John Vesuvio to anyone.  Also, if we needed a contractor for any future work, we would call John.  He was extremely responsive and professional from start to finish (i.e. before getting the job and after the job was completed).  We had to put a closet back together a month after the project was completed (we were waiting on carpet installation from Home Depot to finish the closet).  We contacted John and he sent someone from his team within a week.

Evolve was recommended by a friend in the construction business.  John from Evolve was very straightforward and extremely responsive.  His prices were very reasonable and I never had the feeling that I was being cheated on change orders.  We wanted a hands-on design experience so we didn't hire a designer.  John offered design opinions but was never pushy.  We communicated mostly via email, and John was responsive even at 9PM or 7AM.  He was also able to use a number of his connections to get us deals on materials.  We chose high end materials that likely would have been inaccessible without John's help.  The project was delayed a bit but that was due largely to extenuating circumstances, not to Evolve.  We had a few minor hiccups along the way but that is certainly expected in a job of this size, and Evolve was quick to rectify all issues.   All in all, it was great experience.  All of the rooms exceeded our expectations.   

Like all first-time home owners we dreaded looking for a general contractor, especially as our ?new? home is nearly 300 years old (no, that is not a typo).  The home has a lot of character ? and nearly three centuries of building materials, techniques and standards.    While we knew our home would require constant maintenance, we also hold to the mantra of ?Do it once and do it right.?  It was important for us, therefore, to find a contractor who would be willing to accept the challenges posed by such an old home and willing to develop a long-term relationship.
 
John Vesuvio of Evolve came highly recommended to us by our home inspector who swore that he was the only general contractor he would ever use, a sentiment we now fully endorse.  In the year plus that we have been working with Evolve, John has completed several major projects for us including completely renovating a studio space, installing new roofing, new engineered floors, replacing/repairing plumbing, heating, well and electrical systems, installing a new drive and roadways, installing new windows and more.  John has also completed dozens of simpler, handyman-type projects such as re-attaching plumbing fixtures, repairing drywall, resurfacing floors, etc.  Each and every time, for projects large and small, John?s team has arrived when promised and completed the job to our complete satisfaction.  John has made numerous helpful and insightful suggestions, but has also always been extremely flexible in working with our budgetary and time constraints. 
 
All projects have the potential of becoming a major problems due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. wall studs not being where they should be; prior damage being more extensive than expected, etc.).  When such problems have arisen, John has always been a source of solutions, offering numerous and well thought out suggestions to stay on time and on budget.  John also exemplifies the best in true customer service, going way beyond our expectations even in emergency situations.  Just one example:  on Sunday, December 23, 2012 our glass-top electric cooking range was accidentally smashed.  With 30 people coming the next day for Christmas Eve dinner we were in a real crisis.  Not only was I able to reach John on a Sunday, but within 12 hours he had found, acquired and installed a brand new range that fit the unusual dimensions of our old unit ? and all on Christmas Eve morning.
 
Doing any construction/remodeling/home repair project requires open mindedness, flexibility and honesty from all the parties involved.  Homeowners need to be truthful about their expectations and contractors need to be realistic about their capabilities.  John has never deceived, overpromised, or under delivered.   His prices are very fair for the impeccable level of work the Evolve team performs. 
 
In short, we highly recommend Evolve Remodeling.  It is the only general contractor we trust or that we want to work with for what we hope are the many years ? and many projects ? we will have in our home.   

John is a great General Contractor to work with. Very communicative throughout the process, excellent at project coordination, is upfront and honest if any change orders have to be addressed, punctual and responsive, and gives solid advise on options to consider. We used John for a renovation project on a 1926 colonial which was a foreclosure, while it was a big project John was very helpful in assisting us in getting through it.

We contracted with Evolve  Remodeling (john) based upon Angie's List reviews and local recommendations to install our new kitchen tile floor and backsplash. John was easy to work with, quick to share ideas and provided high value and quality service. The work was done professionally, they used tarps to protect our carpet and were pleasant to deal with. They showed up on time and worked hard to do the job right. For example, our kitchen is not perfectly square and has an island, which is not aligned with the walls, not unusual. John and his team took extra time to make sure the tile floor was optimally aligned. When the work was complete, they returned the appliances to the original state and cleaned up so well there was barely a trace of their presence... except for the beautiful new floor and backsplash. We will use Evolve for future work and highly recommend John and his team to others.

Being a professional home inspector with an extensive background in construction I was very cautious on who I chose to do the work on my house. I usually do all the work on my house myself, but this project was too big and complicated for me to handle. I was not familiar with Evolve prior to this project . I am extremely happy and satisfied with the work that John and his crew from Evolve did on my house. There were many different aspects to this project that made it difficult - my house was built in 1939 as a bungalow and was not built to have a second floor - Evolve worked with the architect closely and was able to get the proper supporting structure in place prior to putting on the second floor. The chimney rebuild was done in connecticut fieldstone (not veneer) and all the flashing was done in copper. I would consider the crew who did the chimney and flashing as artisans - what an unbelievable job they did. The second floor addition involved building 4 dormers all with a very steep pitch (the front dormers are different pitch that the rear dormers) - Evolves' crew had to spend extra time figuring out all the complicated angles associated with dormers, but did not come back and ask for additional money (which would have been totally reasonable). John also was able to work with me and the architect to solve some design issues that arose during the construction and again no additional money was requested. The roof was also not a standard roof and had to be installed properly in order to achieve the look that was intended and again Evolve did a great job. The crew showed up every day at the time they said and cleaned up and tarped the house every night. All the workers were very nice and well mannered. My wife, 2 year old son and myself all lived in the house during the project and John made sure that was possible by taking extra steps to create the least amount of disruption to the existing first floor. The project was finished in the time frame that was promised and on budget. Overall a fantastic experience and I am 100 percent satisfied with the work that was done. John is a true professional and was very responsive to all my questions. As a home inspector I get clients asking me everyday if I have a contractor I could refer and Evolve is now at the top of my list.

John and his company came to us highly recommended.  He and his crew arrived at our house on the day and time agreed upon. 

They showed up every day and completed the bathroom on schedule.  We also had a large punch list of other projects which they also accomplished in a timely manner.  Both John and his crew were very professional and they cleaned up every night.  I would highly recommend EVOLE and I have handed out several of his business cards to friends.

They installed bigger cabinets, retiled the floor, put in new windows that face east so I get all the morning light at breakfast!! and installed stainless steel appliances. Jonathan even went with me to pick them out. When they painted my walls, they covered up all the furniture and floors with drop cloth and cleaned up the cloth afterward themselves. Best part: Jonathan designed a custom island for me that fits perfectly in my kitchen without taking up too much space. The original design didn’t have enough storage but he was very nice and redesigned the whole thing for me with more space. I love my kitchen! I’d recommend them to anyone; they’re great people to work with.

They got in touch with me right away, and there was great communication from start to finish. I liked their ideas about alternative design options and ways to save money. We’d first settled on using Indian rosewood for the cupboards, but somehow it didn’t sit right with me, so they offered Cocobolo and Blackwood as alternatives. They also convinced me that I had space for a tub instead of a standing shower when I wasn’t sure it would fit, and I’m glad they did because it’s my favorite part of the bathroom now. It was an easy remodel, even after all the changes. I’d use them again.
