carpet cleaners
 + -1 more2 workers arrived and removed the wet rugs from the basement. After the rugs were on their truck they gave me a new quote - the large rug was now $600 to clean, sanitize, deodorize, etc. The price for all six rugs was astronomical. Even with the 25% discount this was far more than I anticipated. Also, they wanted 25% deposit in cash. When I asked to see their proof of insurance, they refused and said it was too much trouble. I was worried because the truck had Texas license plates. I paid $150 in cash to get my rugs back off their truck.
Description of Work: I had 6 rugs stored in the basement that were soaked when the basement flooded. I called the company for a quote and for a 10x14 rug they quoted me about $160 to clean it. There was also a coupon the the Yellow Book for 25% off water damage. They came that afternoon.
