UNITED EXHAUST SHOP II INC

My Dad gave me his old Corolla and the exhaust system had a huge broken part which kinda got worse during the 45 mile road trip there(yes its me again, I dont see a way to add to my old review). I called ahead and made an appointment and even though I showed up late(had to drive a little slower to keep the car together) I only had to wait a few minutes. Same as before they personally pointed out the bad part of the exhaust on the car itself and cut out only that part in a cost saving manner. And they fixed a hanger or two. I was so happy the cost of the repair was less than worth of the car, I made sure to take care of the mechanic.

They were nice, fast and honest.  They took my car in at the appointed time, put it on a lift, showed me what the problem was and how they would fix it.  The price paid was the estimated price given. 

.I read  other  reviews posted on the internet and although there are only a few to be found,it sounded like 'my kind of place' I was willing to travel over 35 miles to get an estimate. I prefer working with independently owned shops that concentrate on 'one' thing and do it well;that's United Exhaust Shop.
 
With over 30 years of experience the owner Ritchie 'knows his stuff' and as a added bonus is a gentleman; easily imagined as a neighbor out here in Long Island.
 I don't like those companies that try to hook you with an offer for a cheap oil change only to get you in the shop where they 'get' you with other  often unnecessary things to take your hard earned money.
 I have an old 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with almost 180K miles. Interesting but it  really wasn't necessary for me to tell  Ritchie that 'I don't want  to spend more than necessary'. The price was fair and its nice to feel you are being taken cared of. To echo the other reviewers;, yes, job well done. HIS  staff are courteous and professional. I heartily recommend this shop for all your truck and vehicle exhaust issues.

They could only find a loose heat shield and reattached it with 2 fender washers. They said the muffler system on my 2004 Durango was rusty but did not need to be replaced at this time. I asked for a quote to replace the muffler system from the Cat back.They gave me a very reasonable quote and charged me nothing for their time. I gave the girl a $20 for her to get lunch and I left. They could not have been nicer. I will be going back and recommending them to my friends!

Was recommended by my mechanic of which specializes in my model car and was told for them to replace exhaust system would be  like $1000 in parts alone.
He said though that United Exhaust makes their own custom made that might save me some money.
I called the number and sweet voice lady answered right away and gave me directions.
A gentleman named Richie put my car on the lift and called me in and showed me exactly where the previous owner was ripped off(which inevitably led to the break). Showed me what parts were still good and recommended to change only the parts that were bad for 1/10th the price. 
You can tell they went through a lot of trouble because they had estimated 30min and I watched them work on the car for over an hour. This without a single complaint or mention of frustration. Normally people will tell you about all their belly aching to get more money or sympathy, they didn't.  
When they were done the mechanic personally showed me exactly what he did to fix the repair(their welds were PERFECT and clean) and shook my hand and thanked me for my business. I went to the cashier and paid their exact quoted amount and offered to buy them a beer. 
This establishment will now be my new Exhaust Guy for anything, I don't care that their 45 miles away. NO one is that honest and has that much pride in their work at such an affordable price(now this review is gonna be seem fake cuz it seems too good to be true).
