FOUR SEASONS ROOFING

The overall experience with this company was terrible. There was a ridge vent on about a third of the shingled roof, and we still don't know if Four Seasons left it in place or removed it, or even whether owner Chris Plain was on the scene when his son and another young man were putting the metal on the roof, but the completed metal roof was at two heights, the higher area sloping a couple of inches down onto the lower area. Instead of straightening the roof line before attaching the metal, or even contacting us to ask what we wanted to do about the issue, the metal was installed on the uneven roof. Chris Plain's astonishing words were, "if you wanted a straight roof line, you should have told me ahead of time." Although he expressed a willingness to come back and fix the problem, as he had not yet been paid in full, he asked for more money to do so. His attempts at repair resulted in a slight cosmetic improvement, but didn't make it right, and it was soon apparent that he didn't have the expertise to make it right. The roof is an embarrassment - the trim work, when it was done at all, is poorly done. We gave him an F for price as well because we received quotes from reputable roofing companies for approximately the same money. We assume that we wouldn't have had to tell a reputable contractor that we wanted a level roof line, or that we would be expected to pay more for a level roof line. We ended up paying for a shoddy job that we wouldn't have taken for free. All communication, quotes and discussions with Chris Plain were completed by email. Once we saw the finished roof, and expressed concern, Plain began calling instead of emailing, and when we requested that we continue to use email, he would either not answer our emails, or they would get bounced back from his carrier. We presumed it was because he didn't want his words in writing. We sincerely hope that this review will save someone else from having the experience we had with this company.
