Wow. That's how I'm starting off this review for Dave and his crew at Sunburst Tree Experts. They say perfection cannot be achieved, but my experience with Sunburst Tree Experts would come as close to that as possible. From the initial estimate to payment, Dave and his crew did a phenomenal job with removing several large oaks from my yard, grinding down the stumps, and pruning a Japanese maple tree. They actually left my yard in better condition from a clean-up aspect than when they arrived. You would not have known that I had any tree service performed at my house - that's how pristine Dave and his crew left my yard. They worked efficiently, safely, and finished the job faster than I would have anticipated given the scope of the project. I cannot recommend Sunburst Tree Experts any more highly than I do. My experience with Dave and his crew was A+ across the board and the results were worth every penny. Don't waste your time searching for a tree service company - go straight to Sunburst Tree Experts and you will not be disappointed.

Sunburst was super professional and did a fantastic job. They checked all of the trees around my house, and were quite educated in letting me know which trees were a hazard to my home and which trees did not pose a threat. The foreman, Dave, was especially helpful and could not do enough to make sure I was satisfied with the great job that they did. They left the area cleaner than how they found it, and just did a super job! Safe, professional, friendly, and fair. I highly, highly recommend Sunburst. A+++++

Given the location of the tree and angle of the lien they removed two sections of the fence to ensure it wouldn't get damaged and performed the majority of the work from my neighbor's yard. The crew was punctual, professional, and obvious experts in their field. I and my neighbor were very pleased with the work they did. They left both yards immaculate. This was not the first service Sunburst performed at my house. In 2015 they pruned several large oak trees on my property and in 2013 pruned 12 large Leighland Cypresses, which was done beautifully. Over the years I've recommended Sunburst to family members and friends who have also hired them and were all equally as satisfied as I have been. Dave and his crew know what they're doing. These guys do it right - every time.

"The trees on this property were pruned beautifully by a crew that had three ISA Certified Arborists on it. The price for the work was more than fair and the quality of work was excellent. Only days later, the largest tree on the property sustained damage during Superstorm Sandy and an estimate was given to remove that damage. The client had just had her trees pruned (which was a major reason why damage was not more extensive) and she felt this work should not come at additional cost. The estimate for additional work was fair, just as the original was. We are sorry when a client is less than pleased but we quoted fair prices and did excellent work. This client thought the quote for additional work was unfair and then decided that none of the work was satisfactory. We disagree."

On 10/20/14 Matt the owner came and gave us an estimate to remove 3 VERY large trees and to trim up 2 other trees. We hired him. His crew came on 10/21/14 they started with a 90ft white pine tree. Removed it down to the ground. Then the proceeded to remove 2 large maple trees in my pool area. They got most of one tree down, then it got late and it was going to rain. They came back the next day 10/22/14 and took down the rest of the trees in the pool area, nothing fell in the pool or broke anything in pool area. They then trimmed the cherry tree and a very large maple tree. The 4 man crew were very neet,clean and polite. They cleaned up everything left nothing laying on the ground. We are definitely calling Matt and his crew to come back and remove the large maple with in the next year. His prices were the best. We just ran out of funds or they would have been asked to remove the maple too. I will be telling friends and family about Sunburts Tree Experts.

Matt came over and spent about an hour talking with me and looking at my property - what an education! I learned so much about the trees in my yard from that short visit - total professionals! I was given an extremely fair estimate for removal from a double white oak. Five days after the estimate the tree was taken down and chopped into fireplace size pieces! Would use them again in a heartbeat!

I called them for an estimate in the morning and had a call back that day. An arborist was able to come by to give me an estimate the same day. He was very knowledgeable and gave me many suggestions. We agreed as to what needed to be done and they were able to fit me into their schedule the next day.
The men worked very efficiently. They removed a large cherry tree and a smaller plum tree. They ground down two large stumps.
I had numerous old arborvitae that were crowded out by many very large rose of sharon plants. The arborvitae were not getting enough sun so were in very bad shape. The arborist recommended taking out the arborvitae and topping the rose of sharon plants so they would grow fuller.
There was a old three limb stump within my wood deck. They were able to cut it low enough that now I will be able to continue the deck in that space. The men cleaned up after their work and the place looks very neat. I would definitely hire them again.

I called Sunburst on a Sunday and they immediately called me the following day.
Matt was extremely knowledgeable about trees. He spent a great deal of time with me going over the property. You would be hard pressed to find a company as credentialed and knowledgeable as Sunburst.

From the very first phone call, nothing but professional. Carl, the owner, came within a day or 2 to give us the quote. Extremely knowledgeable about trees.
The crew arrived on the date they stated. Certified arborist on site the entire time. He took the time to strategize the tree removal. Two of them were in a very tight spot and hanging over the house. There was NO damage anywhere....not even to the gardens surrounding the trees they took down! I have never seen such efficient and neat work. An incredibly professional and respectful team. Would definitely use them again and will surely recommend to toher.

A neighbor had recommended Sunburst Tree Service really highly. An estimate from another highly rated local tree service had given an estimate of $4,000 for the same job. Sunburst charged $2000.00

"Thank you so much for the work and for your positive review. Insurance company personnel most often don't spot tree hazards that an arborist is trained to spot. The initial trees you called about posed little threat in comparison to the one we discovered so it's a good thing you removed all three. If the other estimate you received was for the very same three trees and equal in every respect to our estimate, $4,000 does seem like a very high price but then it's tough to compare such things. For example, one arborist may look at a job and think it's going to take much longer than what another arborist thinks. We are happy that it all worked out for you!"

They were excellent. Carl the owner returned my call promptly and was there the next day for an estimate. He listened to what I wanted, made suggestions and we came up with a plan together. Very nice and knowledgeable guy. The foreman Dan and his crew showed up on time and were awesome. They were upbeat, professional, very knowledgeable, made suggestions and were very accommodating. They did a great job. I highly recommend them.

I called a few places trying to set up an appointment for an arborist to come out and take a look at what I believed was a dying Japanese Maple tree, central to our front yard. Since it is high time for tree services, no one was able to give me an appointment within the week, and believing that time was of the essence, I needed somebody as quickly as I could find. In calling Sunburst Tree Experts, a man was put on the phone immediately to which he asked me to send him an e-mail with some pictures that showed the disease on my tree. Already having pictures prepared, I sent them over, and immediately he was able to offer me a confident diagnosis of my tree along with an extensive background of the disease. Sadly, he informed us that the tree would eventually need to be taken down as it could not be saved, but he offered suggestions for how to properly take care of a replacement tree and warned us of getting another Japanese Maple due to the soil being tainted with this Verticillium Wilt. Additionally, the man who just took over the business got onto the phone and agreed with the diagnosis, and I just so appreciated the time they both spent over the phone to go over the pictures with me. I would absolutely recommend them due to their honesty, expertise in the field, and, mostly, their care and concern.

He took down a bunch of trees and trimmed some hedges. It was good, so I will use them again. They were very reliable. The person is very knowledgeable about trees. He cares about trees and loves his business. He is not the cheapest and not the most expensive. He gives a fair price. They are coming again in two weeks to take down a bunch of oaks. After a hurricane, I don't want them falling on my neighbours house.

Prompt and efficient. Don't like spending for downed trees, but they were massive the roots had to be pulled up as well.

"Thank you for your feedback. We hate seeing people spend money for toppled landscape plantings, unfortunately it's quite common. We see it all the time but it never happens to the trees we plant except for several we planted just prior to Sandy and they were fixed promptly."
