Ian and his team did an amazing job tackling a huge project in my home. They completed a full kitchen remodel that included gutting to the studs and floorboards. No detail was left untended to. His crew was neat, polite, and ultra professional. The kitchen remodel expanded to the rest of the house where they updated exterior windows, removed load bearing wall to create an open floor plan, and removed/replaced the flooring throughout the first floor of my home. My house looks like a showroom!

Perfectly, Ian was truly professional and puntual. He said our renovations would take 20 days and they did.

The finished product was everything we wanted and more. Work was completed on schedule and with a professional touch I've not seen in some time. Great attention to detail, knowledgeable in all phases of the construction. Artisan was very helpful in suggesting possible changes to the floor plan that enhanced the layout and usability of the space. This was a great experience with a contractor that performed all the work as proposed. We plan to remodel a bathroom in the future and our first contact will be Artisan to perform the work. All in all a seamless, easy build for the homeowner.

We hired Artisan Interiors to renovate our second floor apartment into bedrooms for our three sons. This job also included remodeling a bathroom, creating a custom laundry chute, replacing windows, tearing down a second floor outside entrance & deck, and replacing affected exterior siding. We couldn’t be happier with the results of the work. It is simply pristine and we feel so proud of how our home looks! The project was a pleasure from start to finish. Prior to discovering Artisan, we dealt with several contractors who didn’t call us back and wouldn’t show up for estimates. We also interviewed a big name company that treated us with a sense of casual disregard, like they could take or leave our money. I knew that Ian would be our man from the moment he showed up early to our appointment and took his shoes off at my door. The time he spent with me during the initial walk through made his knowledge of construction obvious. He took his time explaining to me what could and could not be done in our space (where other contractors had “yes’d” me to death). He was well versed with code and had great ideas to add onto ours. During the project, Ian and Sean arrived on or before 7 a.m. Monday-Friday and worked the entire day. Yes, we were Artisan’s exclusive clients for the duration of the project. I’ve heard nightmare stories of contractors who will start your job and then hop around from job to job, doing your project piecemeal. Afraid of turning down work, these contractors try to work for multiple clients at once and customers end up feeling frustrated by how long it takes to get the work done. This is NOT the case with Artisan Interiors and that was very important to us. Ian defined professionalism. We communicated with him through text and email; he was always accessible to address our questions. His prices were fair and his work was meticulous. The job was also completed on schedule. We highly recommend Artisan Interiors!!!

Everything about the performance was to the highest standard and we were very pleased with the outcome. A year later we had Ian back to do tile work for our kitchen renovation project and, again, the work was excellent. We have complete confidence in him and would certainly have him back again!

My wife and I have extensively remodeled homes in the past and have a lot of experience with designing layouts, picking materials, and working with contractors. We used Artisan Interior (Ian Williams) after getting a master bathroom demo/remodel quote that was thousands less than quotes from other contractors. In addition to the great quote, we were immediately impressed with the punctuality and professionalism that Ian provided. Ian suggested creative design options that we never even thought of. We were particularly impressed with the curbless shower enclosure design that helped emphasize the modern look we were going for. Ian is a perfectionist in both design and execution. He listens to concerns at all times and provides options and solutions. We are looking forward to using him again for a second bathroom remodel and any other project that comes up in the future! All phases of the work were done professionally and meticulously. Ian's attention to detail and his helpful ideas and suggestions along the way put my mind at ease. He had so many good ideas. It went great! Ian has a great eye for deisgn and layout gave me some great ideas about the possibilites. He helped by passing along his contractor discounts to us as well and responded to my questions in a very timely manner. He always showed up on time, cleaned up, and is remarkably quiet when he works too. He worked mostly alone, but had a tile assistant with him for a couple of days. Overall, I would highly recommend hiring Ian. He's a good, trustworthy guy and a bit of a perfectionist with his work, so you won't be disappointed with the outcome. He stands behind his work, so if there are any problems, he will come by to correct them.

Ian and Joe were very professional. They arrived when they said they would, always cleaned up keeping the mess of construction to a minimum, and did a beautiful job! Ian always responded promptly and stood by his work.

Ian came to work promptly each day and spent a full day working in a neat orderly fashion. He had a good understanding of what we wanted to do and added his own insight and design experience to exceed our expectations. Project came in exactly as quoted with no surprises and even included items not originally specified. Ian is a first rate contractor that performed excellent work. Would definately hire again.

Their price was fair and the work went well. He was very neat and immaculate. He did what he said he was going to do.

The work was done in a precise, neat and professional way. I could not be happier with the outcome. I completely trusted Ian in my home. My children love to greet them each morning and say good bye each afternoon. He arrived on time or early every single day, and worked very hard all day long. My home was left neat and tidied up each day that they worked. He gave us a timeline and stuck to it. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend him.

I will start by saying I have heard of too many horror stories from friends and family about their experiences with contractors. So being as thorough as I could possibly be to try and avoid such an experience, I went with a respected friends reccomendation and chose Artisan Interior Contracting. From my first meeting with Ian to the final handshake, I felt very comfortable with my choice. As soon as he first pulled up you can tell from his organized and clean truck, he is serious about his work. Ian is the type of "artist' I like to call him, that takes personal pride in his work and anything that has his name attached to it, he is not just doing your work for your money. This was apparent from the many discussions we had to the physical labor throughout the entire job! I was very impressed by that probably most of all. It gives a tremendous piece of mind during such an important and expensive project. This quality is very hard to find in a  contractor. Ian was always accessible and very helpful for all my questions as I was new to doing anything this large/important. Let me tell you I had many many questions.
Ok, so the most important part of the review...the actual finished project. I am a very picky person and many describe me as 'never being happy" with anything. I was thoroughly impressed with the result and for a rare occasion, I would have to say it came out better than I even pictured it. I couldn't be happier with the whole process, and one that could have been a lot more stressful and turned out like a lot of the horror stories I have heard as I mentioned at the start of the review.  Do yourself a favor, be as thorough as I was before you make your choice. Listen to the horror stories out there because there are way too many of them. Artisan Interior Contracting will do the job the way you will want it to be done.

Ian was great to work with throughout the whole renovation project. Our architect drew up plans, but there were always lots of small issues that came up that Ian worked through like a total pro. It's a weekend residence for us and I had to drive up from Brooklyn to follow the progress. I didn't have to do any micromanaging and he definitely saved me lots of unnecessary trips I probably would have had to do with someone less experienced or honest. 
I'd recommend him to anyone!

My wife and I couldn't be happier with the work performed by Artisan.  Ian is very professional and just a pleasure to deal with.  He even helped us with changing the layout of the stairs so that we could put the refrigerator underneath them and it looks great.  He was at the house nice and early every day until the job was complete. At the end of each day, Ian and Mike cleaned up the area and were right back at it the next morning.  The staircase came out great as did the Bannister that replaced the old half wall.  Professional, courteous and prompt.  What more could you ask for?  I finally found a contractor that I will be using for all future projects!  Great job all around.

Ian and the crew were professional and caring about our needs. They showed up on time everyday and worked a full day. They went over and above to help me move the furniture into other rooms, and put back when they were finished. Everything came out perfect. I hope to use them again.

We purchased a condo in a retirement community which needed a lot of work. We called Artisan Interior Contractors and spoke to Ian Williams and discussed what we needed done and said that when we were ready to start the work, we would call him back. Well, much to the our surprise, Ian remembered us, even though it had been two months later. This impressed us very much. Ian came over to evaluate what we wanted done and his quoted price was reasonable. Since we were having the kitchen completely redone, he recommended a kitchen designer and what an excellent choice it was. He also gave us ideas we would have never thought of.  He and his staff started the job promptly at 8:00 am every day. After stripping down the kitchen, they did all new electrical work, plumbing and put up new sheetrock in preparation for the new kitchen cabinets. 
Ian installed a porcelain tile floor in the kitchen, halls, and dining room. The job he did was masterful, so neat and the lines in the tiles were perfect.  Everyone who sees our tiles compliments how well the job was done. He put in new baseboard molding in the kitchen, halls, dining room and bedrooms. Ian does not use any short cuts, he does every thing by the book. He is a perfectionist. The kitchen cabinets were installed along with a sink, faucet, under cabinet lights, over sink light, under sink water filter, refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave, and back splash. All again done with precision and perfection.
He put in toilets, vanities with sinks, and v-boarded the walls in our 2 bathrooms The vanities did not conform to our pipes, which meant that the drawers would have to be shortened to fit. Ian saved the day by finding a way around the problem so that all the
draws in the vanity went around the pipes without having to be shortened.  
Ian removed the 93" closet bi-fold doors (12 of them) and then reframed the openings to fit a standard 80" door and what a job he did. Again masterful. He put new shelving in all the closets. Installed our washing machine, dryer and hot water heater. He took off all the bathroom, bedroom, and hall closet doors and replaced them with new ones. After making sure all the bi-folds and doors fit and worked correctly, he removed them so they could be painted. Once the doors were all painted and we had the carpeting installed in the bedrooms, he returned as promised to reinstall all the doors. He also recommended an excellent place to get our carpeting done and again he was right on target with his recommendation.
