When originally painted in 2011, the process went well and the company was very responsive. However, I noticed several areas where the paint began peeling and bubbling early in 2015. The warranty for the job is good for 5 years. I contacted Yaro and he assured me he would take care of it - this was in April 2015. He never showed. Several emails and attempts to contact Yaro for follow-up resulted in empty promises and Yaro continued to say that he would 'take care of it'. To this date, he has not taken care of anything. A complaint was lodged with the BBB and still no response. It's unfortunate because they did a decent job, but they DO NOT stand by their work or warranty. Stay away from Yaros Painting - they lack integrity, professionalism and will simply ignore you likely until your 'warranty' runs out.
As others have mentioned, estimates are presented professionally, Yaro is a pleasant and courteous young man. Uncle Mike who singly took care of wood repair and painting, did quite a bit of old siding mending and other small areas of the house that needed attention; in fact he did more than what the wood work had been estimate for. Uncle Mike is no cabinet maker, however our home being circa 1845, sound repairing won over high craftsmanship invisible repairs and as well, my wallet was quite happy with the result.
Uncle Mike was here between 7:15 and 7:30 in the morning and worked non stop but for a very short lunch break on premises till around 7, 7:30pm. So, if you get a fellow with a full head of white hair to do your place, that's uncle Mike and you will be happy with him in the end. Should he miss spots or should some places need paint, wait till he is finished and then show him the spots preferably with a long stick or extension pole and he will do it no problem. If you see it, he can see it as well.
Uncle Mike is a good guy and his English is limited so don't go into long tirades. Keywords work better and simple keywords work even better.
In conclusion, I would hire Yaro to work on my house again with the premise that uncle Mike loads that paint brush and rollers a little heavier without stretching that paint so much, but I am quite happy with the end results: the house looks good!
We did have to wait quite some time for the work to begin because they were really booked up by this point in the summer. This is a small family company with most of the workers related to the owner. The guys on the job site were all very nice and took good care of our plants and property around the home.
I was very happy to observe the extensive prep-work that went into the project. The sanding, feathering, caulking, glazing and priming took up more of the time than the actual painting itself. They finished off the project with beautiful colors and walked around the home with me at the end to make sure I was happy with the end result - which I was!
"I want to express my thanks to the Member for leaving a review about our company and address some of the issues the Member rose about our performance. The project was indeed delayed - we cannot paint in the rain. A reliable stretch of good weather is imperative for any exterior painting work. Regarding the Member's callous description of our employees, I'll just say that I really do not take lightly a customer's verbal abuse of our company workers who have been with us for years. I'll leave the Member's tone and choice of words in the review above to speak for themselves regarding the matter. As on any painting project, there are minor touch-ups left to do after the finish coat has been applied. As the Member points out, we had identified all areas needing any touch-ups and took care of those areas. During my walk-around meeting with the Member, he expressed satisfaction and payment was submitted for the job in a timely fashion. For other reviews of our work in the area, please see what our past customers are saying about us below. Sincerely, Yaro S., owner"
After surviving most of this year's winter, the stain job still looks very good and is holding up well.
