We were given the cost of the labor and the materials they would provide up front. We purchased shower, sink, toilet, flooring, paint, fan, vanity, and fixtures. We were to pay in 3 installments and the time frame was to be 1 week. They scheduled a day before the remodel to look at what we had purchased and review the specs. to ensure we had everything needed. The final walk thru we were told the payment was $800.00 more than the estimate and their reason was that it took longer than expected and that the shower needed durock for installation. We inquired why we were not told about the increase sooner and the response was, "someone (name withheld) was supposed to tell you". That person never mentioned the additional cost for the durock. Also, they claimed the remodel took longer, when in fact their sub-contractors in charge of the sheet rock plastering complained that they were not given ample notice for the job. The remodel took 11 days. We were also charged for a new window and installation but we did not request nor did we receive a new window, but obviously we paid for one, it was not refunded. When we contacted them about this they simply blamed the extra cost on the shower installation and extra time, they ignored the window entirely. They are the contractors, it was their responsibility to check the specs for the shower install before the job started. And they refused to even acknowledge that the cost of a new window installation is on the invoice, they just continued to blame the increase on the shower. We paid for a window we did not request or get and we paid for their lack of inspecting the shower requirements prior to installation. Very poor customer service, it is a family business and each person just passed our concerns onto the next with no resolution and essentially ignored us. We were prepared to pay the final payment of $2,265, we were not prepared to pay $3,065 that day with nothing more than poor excuses and a fraudulent invoice that included a window. Unfortunately, I wrote the check, in hindsight I should not have because we were caught completely off guard. Very poor communication, we do not recommend this company to anyone for any home remodeling.
