I am so thrilled with my exterior paint job! I was worried about all the prep work my job required, but Pat and his crew were meticulous. They always had answers to my questions and took care of small things I didn't even think about. The crew was incredibly hard working, and take pride in the service they provide. I would recommend them in a heartbeat, and already have!

We have a big house in the city with lots of charm. Its not easy to paint with a four-color paint job over cedar shake shingles. I am glad we found the team at Whelehan to paint our house! They took great care prepping the house with scraping and priming the way it should be done. They cleaned up the paint chips after this messy work with care, everyday. The painting was done professionally and with great attention to make all of the details of the house look good. They had a lot of people working at different times, but I must call out James, Karen, and Comet for their good work. Jeff and Pat (the owners) were always accessible and responsive. Everyone was professional and a pleasure to work with. We would recommend them to everyone.

We could have not been happier. They were very professional as well as friendly, from the time of the quote until the job was completed. They asked important questions regarding the job, to ensure that what we wanted was done to our expectations. They did an incredible job and cleaned up beautifully. I could not say enough good things about my experience with whelehan painting. I was very hesitant to get my vinyl siding painted. After seeing how beautiful it came out I wish I had done it years ago! My house looks brand new! Pat and his crew were top notch. Extremely detailed and thorough. This was a big job. It is an old Victorian house that, as the engineer said prior to our purchase, "had a lot of deferred maintenance on the exterior". The body was covered in cement/asbestos shingles that had never been painted and the paint on the trim was so chipped and faded that a lot of bare wood was exposed. Patrick and his crew were great!! Always on time, clear about what they were doing, willing to listen and make suggestions when needed. They took the time to do a good thorough job of scraping the trim. Their attention to detail was exceptional. The finished job looks fabulous. I would hire these guys again without hesitation.

Our house has never looked so good! It was chipping and peeling and really needed help. From our first phone call to the end of the project, everybody on the team was knowledgeable and professional. The house was power washed one morning; then a couple of days later it was painstakingly scraped and sanded, then primed. After that, 2 coats of paint were applied. Even though a lot of work was done, the project was finished in under 2 days. This is a very hard working and efficient group.

Excellent company. My home is large and hadn’t been painted in probably 20 years. Needed prep work and I went with a completely different color scheme, including gutters and shutters. I am admittedly pretty particular and I had many questions. They were very easy to work with and very available for my questions. Their quote was in line with other quotes I got. They did a very good job, paid attention to detail, and each of the crew members were courteous and professional. They cleaned up thoroughly when done. I am very pleased and I highly recommend this company. I will use them for any further painting jobs.

Because of our time constraint due to an upcoming event, the company fit us in and completed the work efficiently and effectively. Communication about the project was exceptional...Both an in person explanation about what steps were needed to complete the deck work, and texting updates. Pat and his crew were extremely thorough with scraping and prepping, including lead paint disposal. Due to the age of the home, and the fact that the previous paint job was over 15 years ago, extensive prep work was required, Pat was able to refer us to a contractor to replace gutters and various architectural features while coordinating with the paint crew. Once the prep work was complete, the painting went smoothly and quickly. The entire crew was professional and courteous, and conscientious about cleaning up the work site at the end of each day. The finished product exceeded our expectations, and came in right on budget. We would highly recommend Whelehan Painting to any friends and neighbors.

The crew from Whelehan did an excellent job. Everyone was extremely professional and I’d highly recommend.

Pat, Jeff and the guys were excellent. We hired them to remove wallpaper (layers), repair, and paint 4 rooms and stairs/hallway in our 100 year old house. While there was a snag during initial scheduling, Whelehan rearranged their schedule to accommodate the original plan. I thought the initial estimate was more than fair, though I was concerned the job was going to take longer that the 3 days they said it would. The job ended up the original 3 days, plus 2 Saturdays and a 1/2 Sunday. Yes, this was a bit painful, but it was understandable seeing the amount of work involved. While it would have been nice to have finished the job all in one block of time, but understandable that they had other customers scheduled, and we worked out the weekends to finish up. The crew was always on time and took minimal breaks, cleaned up after themselves every evening. Pat made sure we were satisfied, and even did some touch ups on the last (worst condition) room after the job was completed. In the end, we paid the original estimated price, and would not hesitate to hire them again.

Pat was very helpful from the start. This was somewhat last minute at the end of the season (just completed the work Oct. 5th). We contacted Pat in late August and he gave us the date he planned to do the work (Oct. 1st). Considering the difficulty in estimating the time needed for work he had already booked, and having to factor in weather, I was VERY happy that he was able to stick to the schedule. The property that was painted was a cottage in the 1000 Islands. We got two quotes from local contractors, one was astronomical, the other was slightly less than Whelehan, but couldn't guarantee starting this season. We may have gotten a better price from someone local to the cottage if we had planned better. That said, Pat really came through. The place looks great. Pat took a crew up and stayed at the cottage. They left the place very clean, and were able to do some extra work that wasn't originally planned. The cottage itself isn't that large, but it has two porches and a huge amount of detail work. Also included was the painting of a detached single car shed. I believe Pat has before/after pics of the property on Facebook or some other site (ask him). The difference is remarkable. Overall, very happy with Pat and his work.

They called me when they said they would. They arrived when they said they would. The job was finished in a day including a complete clean-up. I found the cost to be very reasonable.

It went extremely well. It was scheduled and finished on time. It has been admired by all our neighbors, even a competing professional painter working next door. People comment that the siding looks new. Patrick Whelehan and his crew were fast, neat and professional. There was no job site radio, no shouting of directions and no vulgarities. The company is almost too good to be true, but it is true. Try them. Worth the price.

The estimate was significantly lower compared to one of his major competitors. Pat came to the house the same day that I contacted him. The painters showed up on time and were excellent. The end result was high quality. I will be calling them soon for work on my daughter's new home. I highly recommend these folks!!
