I was quoted $55-$65, depending on how much work it entailed, and told it should be a few days -- which I thought was amazing turnaround, given that I took the mower in right at the beginning of the mowing season. It took a day or two longer than estimated, which wasn't a big deal, and was at the high end of the estimate because he had to take the carburetor out to remove the water inside. When I got the machine home, it worked for a minute or so and then wouldn't start up. I took it back in and when he looked at it later that afternoon, saw that the fuel had somehow been turned off. If they were dishonest folks, I suppose they could have made up something to fix.

It was a very positive experience. The store is relatively nearby and easy to get to - corner Goodman and Clifford.  It really was a pleasure doing business with these people and I will always take my mower there for tune-ups. The cost is just about what I expected, and given it was Memorial Day weekend, it was done quickly. Not a 'big box' hardware store, but one that's been there forever and has just what you need.

Took the lawn mower to Weinberger Hardware. Dave gave an estimated cost and date of completion. Mower was ready when stated. The cost was a bit higher than expected but a filter was needed which was not part of the price quoted so that was ok. Dave was pleasant and professional. The only negatives are the store itself and the location. The store is cluttered and could use some clean up in the back area by the parking lot. The neighborhood is not the best but was ok when I was there which was during the day.

I had to transport lawn mower in my vehicle to hardware store in the city, but offered the best telephone price of three companies, called.
