U HAUL

Description of Work: Went in for hitch installation and it was a nightmare. I would not suggest them to my worst enemy.

Description of Work: I ordered a U-haul and was given a confirmation number. Also I was told the local company would call and confirm that reservation within an hour. They never did call back until the morning I was scheduled to use the truck, and then only minutes prior to my scheduled pick up. Then I was told what I ordered was not available at the spot I had requested and that if I wanted a truck it would have to be at another location, considerably further than my home. Sicne the cost of gas and their charge per mile adds up quickly, I was not willing to drive further to get what I had ordered closer. Furthermore, the people I hired were coming to my home at 8AM to help with packing, which was my scheduled pick up time for the truck. I believe this was a very poor customer transaction. Not only was I disadvanted by not getting what i ordered but I was further abused by not being informed earlier, thus allowing me time to cancell the help I had hired. They arrived when I was still talking with the representative from U-haul. The least they could have done, under the circumstances, would be to not change me for the extra travel, above and beyond the spot where I had a confirmed reservation. They offered nothing except a late afternoon possibility, at the same more remot location; and not other accomodations were offered. I chose to make other arrangements, with Pensky rental truck company, and found their assistance significantly better. I will NOT use u-haul again and I would encourage renters to make clear that their confirmations for a truck means exactly that! It is not acceptable to learn at the time of pick up that a confirmed truck is no longer available.
