They did a good job but they wanted to charge me extra to put in a skylight which should have been included in the estimate. They put in the skylight but I got hit with the bill afterwards.

I researched and interviewed many roofers in the Rochester area and decided on Trinity Home Renovations. With their knowledge and communication skills I was able to explain my roofing needs and they were all met. I would highly recommend Trinity Home Renovations! L Morgan

At first, there was confusion on my part about the contract - we have one strange area that I knew they weren't going to replace but I didn't understand from the paperwork where the transition would be. John, the owner of Trinity came through and made sure I understood everything and was comfortable before they started. I also felt they could have protected my gardens a little better with plywood or something but they look fine a month later. They were VERY careful with our copper porch roof and our adjacent flat garage roof that has a rubber membrane - one single nail would have been bad news. Large busy crew who only stopped for lunch - no lazy guys in this bunch!! Overall I would definitely use them again.

Very pleased. Roofers did a great job!!! John(Owner) gave us an estimate and we called him the next day to tell him that we were using Trinity for our roofing needs. I mentioned that I had a coupon and he wasn't happy. He first said that he didn't know anything about a coupon and he did not put it on Angies List but then said that it needed to be presented at the time of estimate. The coupon did not say that! All the coupon said 5% off a roofing job. He would not honor the coupon. John said that he gives his customers low prices and if he took the coupon he wouldn't make any money. (WOW) I called Angies List and explained the situation. Angies List said that Trinity put the coupon on there and that they had to honor it. If Trinity didn't honor it that they would give us the 5% difference and put a flag on his account. Angies List contacted Trinity. Trinity honored the coupon and called Angies list to changed the coupon to say: coupon must be shown at the time of estimate. My question is why would I show a coupon at the time of estimate? So they can add the 5% on to the estimate and then take off 5% at the end to show what we saved. Overall we are very happy with our roof. I recommend them for anyone that is looking for a new roof but be careful with what the coupons say.

I have nothing but great things to say about this company. It's the second roof they've done for us;  fast, very well done and completely cleaned up afterwards. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing a roof.

John Hoagland the owner, explained all the details of the roof replacement and gave us an estimate that is reasonable for an uncomplicated roof. His team finished another property the day of the install and started work in the early afternoon. They had completed the work by late afternoon the next day.
They put down tarps to protect our lawn and garden. When they were done there was no debris left.
The new roof looks great and we are pleased with the work. We have had a lot of rain this week and so far there is no evidence of any leaks.

I called a number of roofing contractors all with varying degrees of punctuality and professionalism.  By the time I gave Trinity a call I was getting tired of it, but I really wasn't satisfied with what I had seen thus far.  When I called the office, I actually got a human being and not an answering service or a voice mail.  I scheduled an estimate within the next couple of days.  This is already an improvement.
Right from the get-go John was on time, professional, knowledgeable and not overly sales-y.  He offered up a stack of literature on the products he'd be using (nobody else did) and explained his business philosophy.  Because the roof was leaking during heavy downpours, he offered to bump me ahead in his schedule if I offered him the job.
John's pricing was extremely competitive and all things considered, I was more than happy to give him the job.  And it was clear he was appreciative of that.  The start date was a couple weeks out but that was already quicker than what other contractors offered.
Glen and the roofing crew showed up and went to work.  These guys -- Glen in particular -- were super professional and a pleasure to deal with.  This roof was no picnic, with a steep pitch, multiple valleys, dormers, and pipes sticking out of the roof.  Throw in some cranky tenants and 95 degree temps but Glen was the ultimate professional about it all.  He communicated what was going on and had good rapport with the neighbors.  Everything was cleaned up at the end of the day, and at the end of the job the grounds looked better than when they started.
The roof looks great and looking around the neighborhood I can tell it's a quality job (e.g. no weave in the valleys).  It hurts to spend that kind of coin but I was happy to do so with John and Glen.

It appeared to be going well. His subcontractors were very neat and clean and respectful of my 95 year old mom who was home during this. They removed the tub without doing any damage to our very tiny bathroom.
As the installation was underway I noticed things were not progressing as we contracted for and the level of workmanship was not as expected. They never installed new backerboard so the tile is not very even. And John had promised to reinforce the areas where the grab bars were to go and since the walls were not removed this did not happen. Fast forward to end of project. First shower, basement leaking from drain that was rigged like with duct tape? The shower fixture had never been anchored. The bottom of the shower door came off. The two coats of paint were barely one and the tile had not been cleaned of grout. To their credit John was resposive and came out with his subcontractor to take care of these things. And after a few more showers noticed the door was not functioning properly and noticed it had been installed crooked. We are currently trying to resolve this last issue.
This was not an example of a professional and at one point John actually insulted me by saying I was looking for problems. All I was looking for was a job well done and not one where I stand there every day disappointed with my choice of contractors.
Update: I contacted Kohler who was the door manufacturer and they recommended having someone come out and evaluate. They advised door was installed incorrectly and I am trying to work with Kohler and possibly Trinity to correct this.

I told Nichole it was a small job when I scheduled the appointment and she said that wasn't a problem for them. When John came out to do the estimate, he told me it was a small job (no kidding, but it was still going to cost me over $1000). He gave me a nice sales brochure and said he would have an estimate for me at the end of the week, but it didn't come. I called and spoke to Nicole two weeks later and she said they were very busy and would check with John to see where he was at with the estimate, but again, I never heard back from either of them. Why come out to do an estimate if you can't provide it? Probably just another gravy shopping contractor.

Response from Trinity Home Renovations

"(Removed members personal information) I am sorry you were left unhppy. At the time of the visit to your home i told you specifically it was a job we probably would'nt do due to the small size of the project and our current overloaded work schedule. I probably should have communicated that better, and for that i apologize. We wish the best of luck with you projects. Best regards, John Hoagland"

He and his crew were very professional through out the whole process.
John was very knowledgeable, helpful and answered all my questions. The
did a complete tear off, fixed a few problem areas and also trimmed a
tree that overhung on my home. I was very satisfied with the whole
process. The crew was great, cleaned up every nail and showed real
concern about how they left the area when the were done at the end of
each day.

After paying  for materials and waiting all winter for new windows to be installed, we received a late night call saying our contractor had passed away  and  the family did not know what was happening with our project.  In contacting the window supplier we were told the windows were in and had been since January but they had not been paid for.  We  discussed our options with them and they reached out to John Hoagland owner of Trinity Home Renovations, Inc. to see if he could step in and take over the project of installing a Sliding glass door to replace 2 windows, 2 replacement Bathroom windows and a  front picture window.  John stopped by the next day, took a look at the project and said he would honor our previous contractors price as close as possible and he would get started as soon as he could possibly within the next month.  Two days later he called and said he had rearranged his schedule so his crew could start on Monday.  We were thrilled that at 8:30 Monday morning Mike & Vicky showed up with John reviewed the plan and at 9:15 our windows and door were delivered.  That's when the fun started! All three windows were the wrong measurements by anywhere from 1/8 of an inch to 3 1/2 inches.  and the door was the wrong depth and width  for the wall opening .  Mike  brainstormed  with John and they figured out how to make the materials work without needing to get new windows which would cost us additional money.  Mike & Vicky got started on the demolition and had the front window in by the end of the day. Vicky did an amazing job of keeping the dust and trash down to a minimum and cleaned up each day wonderfully.
We ended up with the windows we wanted, and unexpectedly all new siding on the back of the house where the new door was installed because the siding we removed was to short to use on the new opening.   John has a sider come and wrap the trim on the windows and reside the back of the house and still stayed within the 4 day time frame for the job.  Nothing phased him, he is a true professional, including having a dumpster come and get all the trash on the last day rather than blocking the driveway for the four days of the project.  We highly recommend Trinity Home Renovations and are currently considering using them for a new deck off the new sliding door they installed.

"[member name removed], I am very sorry that you feel this way. I actually have my office line forwarded to my cell phone so i can responsive to my customers when out of the office during the day. So i apologize if you found the ringback tone unprofessional, most of our customers like it. Because of the very harsh winter we were inundated with phone calls about ice damming issues such as yours, and have a tremendous backlog of customers to get to. So instead of promising on something i knew we couldnt deliver on, i offered to provide you the number of another contractor that could do a good job for you in a timely fashion. Its unfortunate the weather has everyone looking for a ray of sunshine, but i truly feel your feedback is unjustified."

I had a good experience. They sent me estimate very same day or review of what they saw plus pictures up on the roof. They are excellent. I would use them again if need be.
