Tom Ghysel Siding Inc

Tom gave us an estimate and was not precise about what was going to happen. Other companies spelled out their work and procedure. This should have alerted me. I asked to have a board set down under the ladder because I just had stone mulch put in and didn't want the fabric cut by ladders, nor did I want my plants stepped on. The first day there was a worker on the ladder after I was told that this would not happen. Tom argued with me about it. Also several of my junipers were trampled and I am not sure they will survive. Tom said it was because of the rain and I showed him the rest were not brown and stressed at all only the ones the worker stepped on. He ignored that. Because of the rain there were delays but that was understandable. We wanted the work done before we left for vacation on June 25. The siding was done and Rick did a great job. The gutters were promised to be done by the time we returned on July 2. We came home and they were not done. I understood if it had been the weather, but when we called both Tom's cell and the office we got no response at all for over a week. There was no explanation as to why they weren't up yet. We had flooding around the house because of no gutters, they had taken them off already and had been off for weeks. Finally I called and left a message on Toms cell that because he didn't have the courtesy to call us back after a week of calls I had called another company to do the gutters and I was cancelling that job with him. No sooner did I hang up when he called me back and was rude, insulting, and threatening to me personally ( that I would have to pay even if I cancelled) telling me, "Excuse me if I went on a vacation, some people like to celebrate the holidays, and you seem to think that when you snap your fingers you can get whatever you want...also that he was disappointed in me because it was childish of me to call him like that and that if I cancel I will be responsible to pay for the gutters." I have saved the voicemail and I would love to share it with you. I repeat we tried to get him for over a week and we had his cell number. One more thing the worker broke one of our light fixtures and we pardoned him the payment when we found out that he had to pay personally. Also We had been very specific about where to park the trailer and dumpster for a month and he ignored our request and several neighbors complained because he was opposite their driveways,

We made the best choice possible hiring Tom Ghysel and his crew. Rick and Pat provided excellent workmanship and the job turned out awesome. The team was very pleasant to work with, offering suggestions, meeting our every need and always going above and beyond the call of duty, which is a rare find these days. I would highly recommend Tom Ghysel and will use him and his crew for all of our future needs.

The whole process was great. Tom and Bob are so nice and easy-going to work with. At this time, I only needed 1 window replaced with estimates for future replacements and many companies had been rude or dismissive of only needing 1 window at this time. Tom didn't ever make me feel that way and even provided literature for the windows and siding. Bob arrived to do the work and the whole replacement process went smoothly and he even cleaned up after. It was so refreshing to not feel pressured or swindled throughout the whole process and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Having the siding installed in the winter was a cost savings, and as usual they did a great job. The installer was courteous and knowledgeable, and the result looks great. There is only 1 area where you can actually see a seam in the siding, and I think that's great. Tom came to our house and gave us the details and the price, and that was what we paid.

All of the windows in my house are now new, an ad most were replaced by Tom Ghysel's crew. Most recently I had Windows replaced in all 3 of my bedrooms. They arrived on time and had all of the work done before noon. All of the old Windows were removed. Bob is very knowledgeable about measuring the Windows to order and installing them. They all fit perfectly. I had 4 double hung and 2 sliders installed. I would recommend Tom Ghysel Siding to anyone. I can't wait for my sidings to be installed in the near future! You can get 1 window or a house full. Prices re the best.

I was able to get the repair estimate over the internet. The business owner then came to my house and got the measurements for the repair. In about 7-10 days a worker came and installed the missing piece.

Great experience stayed to cost and were very courteous and explained what needed to be done and how they fixed it. Both men were pleasant and the job was done quickly and well. I couldn't ask for a better experience the owner worked around my times available and got it done quickly

The staff here was extremely friendly, very tidy and worked everyday til work was completed to my satisfaction.

Overall it went well . The biggest problem was mother  nature  raining .The contractor has no control over that .
 All three crews were excellent mechanics . The owner was very responsive and very fast in giving me the estimates . I would recommend this contractor for any homeowner needing similar work done .

Whole house vinyl siding: Considering they did it in the winter and how cold it was, it went very well.  They worked regularly until they  finished the project as expected it took them a bit longer.  I had some reservations about doing the project n the winter but the results are good.  It would sometimes take a bity of time to get T Ghysel to call back but he always did.  They were missing a shutter and it got installed with out asking about it.

Tom was responsive in all ways - price, timeliness, quality.    We found him to be very approachable with a great sense of humor.  He even went so far as to repair a problem another roofer had left at no cost to us.  The finished job is even better than we had hoped for.  In every regard, it was a very rewarding experience.

Garage doors were put in 2 days after signing contract! Windows approx 3 weeks later vinyl siding and other work after that. All were done in a professional manner and we were extremely satisfied.

Smoooooth.... Tom was extremely personable easy to work with, made suggestions to save me money and was able to complete the re-roofing of our house in just about a week after week first contacted him. The showed up early on the day the said they would and the actual installation was mostly complete after one day, they came back the next and picked up the yard and removed their materials. The crew showed up early on both days, and was both professional and polite. Tom didn't request a down payment to start, just told me to I could pay him after he was done. I'd highly recommend Tom Ghysel and will probably use him again in the future.

The men were on time and worked meticulously to make our home look great. Were polite, friendly, offered professional opinion when needed.

It went fantastic. It was a good value for what I spent. The service was timely and work was excellent. I was always able to reach the owner when I had questions.

He installed siding also and the estimate was right in line. He arrived on the day he said he would and completed in a very timly manor.They did a fantastic job and cleaned up .

I called Mr. Gheysal after getting a flier in my mailbox after he had done work in my neighborhood, not based on Angie's List ratings. He is very prompt and professional when it comes to returning calls, setting up the work to be done, and following up to make sure the work is to satisfaction. The folks he sent out to do the  insulation work and the skylight repair were also prompt and as far as I can tell did good work. There were some issues with the skylights in that the problem was not properly diagnosed at first and there was continued leaking on a very rainy night following the work. All 5 of my skylights had a lot of tar around them from previous repairs/maintenance so it was a guess as to where the leaks were coming from. When I called Mr. Gheysal that evening, he returned my call immediately and had the men back out to my house as soon as possible. They re-evaluated the problem, made additional repairs, and I haven't had any leaking since. Lesson learned: upon initially evaluating the problem, they only assessed the skylights from the exterior. If they had come inside to look at where the water was coming in, they probably would have gotten the fix right the first time. Having had other estimates, the price I paid for the work was several hundred less than other quotes just for the insulation, not including the skylight repairs. I would call Mr. Gheysal again to do work in the future and would recommend him.

He is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with.  He has done windows, siding, etc. in the past and will be working on a backdoor in the near future, too.  I trust him and will be using him in the future, too.
