They are quite good. I use them every year and they do very high quality work and have very knowledgeable employees.

Feldman workers showed up on time and performed requested services in a professional manner with market competitive pricing. No add ons or any other gimmicks. These guys just show up and do the work required. Have employed them numerous times over about 10 years with no problems.

We were, until recently, long term customers of Feldman Heating. They sold and installed a new furnace and A/C in our condo and we have been pleased with them until our recent annual cleaning and check-up. We were having other work done on the day scheduled so we asked the technician to call us when he arrived so we could let him in the building and introduce ourselves. He was late (left his tools at a prior site) and when he arrived he walked in to our condo (since the flooring installers had propped the door open) rather than calling as we asked. The work went smoothly, but when he came back with the invoice things went very wrong. The technician asked if we were practicing Buddhists (we have a Buddha outside our door). We said we were. He then launched into what I can only call an evangelical lecture regarding Jesus and how we needed to be saved. He peppered it with “I don’t care what others believe” and “people are free to believe what they choose,” but he kept returning to his view that we had to accept Jesus as our personal savior, and the literal truth of the Bible accepted no other faith or belief as true. My wife grew up Catholic, I grew up Jewish, and Buddhism is our practice. We don’t appreciate being lectured on religion, no matter how heartfelt Dave may think he was being. It was obnoxious, it was oppressive, and it was wholly out of place. We reported this to Feldman Heating and received what we felt to be a weak, near apology. We will no longer be using Feldmen Heating & Cooling

They were very responsive (able to come out right away). The issue was simply an old warning sticker that had fallen off and had gotten caught in the fan. It was resolved very quickly, and just charged to the service call to come out and diagnose the issue.

Very knowledgeable, attentive.

They know what they are doing, they were prompt, professional, and I have been using them for years.

Very well. It always does with Feldman. They are professional, courteous, thorough, and customer focussed.

We have used them for years.  I don't know about price because my husband paid them, but as I said we have used them for years, and so I think we think he is fair with his prices.

Provider came out two times (two different technicians) and could not diagnose the problem (which turned out to be an ice-clogged vent pipe). Neither technician called a colleague for a consult when unable to solve the problem; both just said they did not know what was wrong and left.  They do not appear to have the necessary experience and expertise.

I called and scheduled the appointment for 2:00 p.m. on a Tuesday. I had another appointment at 3:30, but I figured it would give me enough time; it was a fairly simple repair. I called a little after making the appointment and told the woman I spoke with that I had a shallow pan style pump, to give the technician a heads up so that if he needed a special part, he'd have it when he got there.
I left work early and arrive home about 1:50 p.m. The woman calls to tell me the tech is just leaving Fairport and is running late; he should be at my house "within the hour." Considering that I need to leave by 3:15, I explain this to her. She says we might have to move it to tomorrow then. At this point, I'm frustrated because I've already left work early for this and I have to be back there again tomorrow! I can't just stay home and wait till it suits others. Also, given where he was and where I live, they should have known before 1:50 that he would not make it to my house by 2:00. (And, in turn had I known, I could have stayed at work and rescheduled the repair for the next day.)
The technician arrives about 2:30. And he has NO pump with him! So he has to leave to go get it. Ultimately, I was only a few minutes late for my next appointment.
A few weeks later, I have to make another HVAC repair call. I used another company because I was so frustrated with Feldman. When that service technician came out, he indicated that the tech from Feldman should really have cleaned out some pipe or tube or something that flowed into the condensate pan and was backing up and leaking out where it shouldn't have been (because that tube was filled with gunk.) This second visit cost me another $150. I can't say for sure whether that was really something the Feldman tech should have checked. What I can say is that I was not impressed and will not be calling them again nor would I recommend them, unfortunately.
The price was about what I expected.

$We have just had Feldman Heating ​and Cooling ​install a top-of-the-line Amana central heating and air conditioning ​system.​ I am prone to worry about how things might go after the sales pitch. In this case, I think the whole experience couldn't have been better. The salesman, Dan Hare, had his own company for years and was very knowledgeable--some we talked​ with, not all, were only salesmen, too intent upon closing the deal​ and not so focused on providing the best system for my needs. When the providers were proposing different systems, even within the same brand, I wasn't able to make a meaningful comparison. At this point, their prices were $1-3K above my eventual cost from Feldman--$4K from one for a lesser system.
With Feldman​ Heating​ and Cooling , we arrived at the best system. I was comfortable with three of the other bidders, though more so with Feldman. Then, with Feldman and the others bidding on installing the same system, Feldman won the job and began the next day. The Feldman installation crew was great: they were, to a man, polite, friendly, and knew their jobs. Rus, the team leader, and Mike, his number 1, were focused and intent upon assembling the complicated system. ​In addition, they were genuinely ​responsive to my questions and ​to​ installing the system according to my preferences. Absolutely no brush-offs. ​I am grateful that ​I delt with​ ​Feldman Heating and Cooling and recommend the company and its people most highly.
