He takes time with you and the people that works there are great. He is very genuine. I have referred them quite a few times. I also board my dog there.

Animal Boarding Kennels, Animal Grooming + 1 more
On 9/22/12 I took my healthy, happy cat to HER vet to be boarded and have her bi-annual check-up plus immunizations while I was away on vacation. She never came home, she died on 10/5/12.
When I went to pick her up on 9/29/12, she did not even resemble my pet. She was weak, emaciated, unable to stand with a yellowish liquid draining from her eyes. When I asked the young Vet Tech about her eyes and her condition, she gave me a confused look with a shoulder shrug and tells me that my cat had just been groomed? So basically, the techs, the vets and even the groomer neglected my cat so severely that she went into a starvation shock that put her into liver failure. When I pointed this out, I was given the and quot;she must have had this beforeand quot; routine. However, six months prior to this, Dr Schmacher referred to her as a and quot;Vikingand quot; at her check-up where we left with a clean bill of health.
While I cannot prove that she was not developing an illness, I did sign paperwork saying that the Vet could and SHOULD take any means necessary to care for my cat in the event of an illness while I was away. Three days into her 7 day stay, she had her and quot;check-up.and quot; If the Vet had taken the time to notice that her weight was down, she could have started her on fluids and the appropriate food/meds right away. I never even received a phone call about her condition (I was less than 2 hours away). She did not receive any Veterinary care until the Monday after our return to town; that's 10 days of misery followed by 4 more days of pokes and prods that eventually resulted in her being and quot;too far gone.and quot; My sweet, orange tabby was in misery for the last two weeks of her life and I blame Stony Point Veterinary's neglect.
**On a side note: the day before my kitty died, I was asked to come in for a visit with my cat and to speak to the Vet about her condition and whether the treatment she was receiving could save her life. I spent 20 minutes in an examination room, listening to the Vet (outside the door) talk about his investments and loans.

Response from STONEY POINT VETERINARY HOSP
"First and foremost, let us say that we are very sorry for your loss. It is obviously our goal to return pets to their owner happy, and healthy. Pets that are in our care are monitored daily for eating habits, urine output, BM quantity and quality, along with overall attitude of the pet. These are also recorded so ALL staff members can know at a glance how the pet is doing. Examinations that are done while boarding are fully documented, and abnormalities or concerns are discussed with the owner upon his/her return unless deemed an emergency. Unfortunately, due to doctor/patient/client confidentialities we are unable to discuss the specifics of a case in a public forum. We wish that you would have given us the opportunity to do so prior to writing a derogatory review that is inaccurate if not slanderous. Please contact us if you have further questions."
