I wanted a cost effective cure to a stained carpet in my den.  I went to the Stafford showroom and encountered very kind and helpful staff.  They spent a leisurely time with me looking at options - no hard sell.  They were very helpful and answered all questions.  They found just what I needed - something that they had to work to find.  I asked about rug cleaning - that is something they do not do, but they  made a recommendation and took the time to make a copy of all the information I needed.  The installer came right on time - he was visited by the owner of the company to check his work while he was there - they took away all of the old carpet and pad - they did not just leave it on the curb - they were efficient and did a great job cleaning up.  I could not have been more satisfied.

I spent several months visiting the location to choose something from the remnant area as I was on a strict budget.  When I finally could wait no longer to make a decision, part of the remnant I wanted had already been sold.  Rick and Nancy worked to find what would work and even harder to actually schedule the installation as by that time they were fully booked for the Christmas holiday.  However they did find time to do the installation for which I was extremely grateful!
While their inventory is significantly less than other carpeting installers, their prices are as well.  If you can afford to wait and find just what you need, there is no better vendor!

The job started with my wife Elaine meeting with Nancy Stafford at the store, followed by 2 visits by Nancy to our house, the first for showing Elaine preliminary samples and giving excellent suggestions on both fiber and color/pattern. Nancy returned for a second visit to show the special order samples that resulted from the first visit.The order was placed.The installation was scheduled for two days: 6/26-27.The installation crew, headed by Mr. Stafford, arrived at 8:30 AM and worked like a well oiled machine finishing up before 6 PM. I arrived  home from work just before that and spoke to Mr. Stafford about the 2day expected work time.He answered "I decided to send an army".He certainly did, and it was a very professional and personable one to boot!A fine job in all respects!Bob and Elaine Jacobsen

First visit was for overall measurement and material selection to create an estimate; second visit (very brief) was for detailed measurement;  third visit was for installation, which took about 2.5 hours.  The whole process took a bit less than a month, as the material had to be ordered.  All interactions with the Staffords were very pleasant and professional.  The finished product is excellent.

From beginning to end my experience with Stafford's Floor Covering was very smooth.

Good work at a fair price. I found the listing for Stafford Floor Covering on Angie's list and called to see if they would install carpet treads and two landing carpets that I special ordered from Home Depot. (HD wanted as much for the installation as I paid for the carpet because it was a special order - $360.) I spoke to a woman at Stafford and she said that Rick Stafford would call me that same afternoon to let me know if he'd do the work. (The big carpet companies would not install carpet that was not ordered through them.) Rick called that same afternoon and came buy the next day. He said he'd do the install for $100 which consited of a thin non-skid pad underneath and tacking down of the 12 treads and 2 small runners. Rick and his installer did the work right then. The work was professionally done and looks great. Had I done it myself with hand hammered carpet tacks, it would have not looked professional so it was $100 well spent. While I have hardwood floors and won't need carpet in the future, they also do binding and so I'll visit their store before I but my next area rug.

The service provided is top-notch, and very personal, something you can't find at the 'big box' stores. As a bonus, they also design and construct hand-made area rugs, for a one of a kind furnishing.

Stafford Floor Covering is very accommodating. They did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. The estimate was right on with the final cost. I was very pleased all around. I would recommend them to anyone.

The advice that I received about selecting carpet for these stairs and for my decor was very helpful. Their prediction about the time it would take the manufacturer to ship the carpet was accurate, and it was installed promptly thereafter. Because it is an Oriental pattern, positioning was very important. At this, Rick is an artist. And, the landings, which require mitred corners, are beautiful. The carpeting is nicely installed, it has been down for nearly a year, and I have had no problems. It was a pleasure to do business with Stafford Floor Covering.
