This company did not complete the job as agreed, would not fix it, and then sued me for payment. Their fees are astonomical, which I found out through getting quotes from other landscapers to fix this job. I made the mistake of using this company through referral and did not check reviews. An easy google search and reading all the bad reviews would have saved me a giant headache. Another lesson was that I trusted him to do the job that we agreed to without getting the tiny details in writing. Even though we had a contract it did not include the layout details and that's where I lost. If you use this company make sure to get EVERYTHING in writing, including a diagram of the agreed job. Do not do any of the correspondence by phone. Also make sure the job is supervised and they are not allowed to leave until you agree it was done properly.

First it was impossible to get ahold of him, wouldn’t confirm a date to perform service. Took weeks. Finally came and at first it was not up to our agreement. He had to come back and then tried to charge us more! I paid half of what was owed but wanted to see grass grow before paying the balance. Some grass grew and he insisted it would just take time. He continued to hound me for the final payment calling almost every day. My husband was unhappy that the grass was still not growing and did not want me to finish paying him until it did. Jeff then started threatening legal action, I finally gave him the final payment to stop him from incessantly calling. I wish I didn’t as half our back yard still has no grass and he won’t return my calls or emails. Very disappointed as he was recommended...

I have a snow plowing contract. I got stuck backing out. I had to shovel myyself out. I finally got out of the driveway. I knew I wasn't going to get back in though. I called Jeff Slyck on the phone. I knew where he lived though so I went to where he lived because he wasn't answering or calling back. Jeff finally came out of the house and stated "he's on his way there right now (speaking of his employee)" he was rude, disrepectful and sarcastic. He treats people very disrespectful. Lawn damage will be repaired before May 1st of the following year per the contract. Sent email to remind that some repair was needed. When he didn't get back with me I called him April 5th. He stated he never got an email. He stated they'll be there in 10 days to fix it. He never showed up. I ended up having to call the town for the road and a lawn service to repair the lawn. He has never bothered to contact me or stop by and try to correct the issue. He broke the contract. He never gets back to people. I will never use him or recommend him to anyone EVER!

He doesn’t show up. This is one of several problems. He is not answering his phone. He is supposed to come plow when it hits 3" of snow and he has not showed up all day and I currently have more than 3" of snow. We are supposed to get more snow this week so the issue is concerning. I have called him twice today and he has not responded or showed up. I shouldn't even have to call for him to show up, as this is part of his contract. He has since showed up and said the reason he did not show up was that there was no snow, yet there is certainly snow on the ground.

Jeff Slyke and his team come to my home for winter clean up, summer maintenance, fall clean up and all year around lawn care. He is very professional and his team always clean up and the prices are great. His prices have been the same for the past 4 years even though the economy has changed Jeff still keeps his prices the same. He's a family man and we love that about him, so he understands the working mans plight. I have and will continue to reccomand him to all my friends and family.
