Senna Cleaning Services

Senna cleaned our house twice a month for about a year and a half. At first the quality of the cleaning was good and thorough. We would have rated A on everything at the beginning, except for the price. We were paying $45 more every other week than our prior housekeeper had charged and what others we interviewed had quoted. However, at the time our excellent housekeeper of over 10 years had left and we thought perhaps Senna's higher price would translate into higher quality. When the quality of the cleaning began to decline we successfully renegotiated the price to be $20 lower per cleaning. As we mentioned, the quality of the cleaning declined as time passed. We would point out the things that were missed via text and week after week they would still be ignored. Recently we found a card from Christmas under a bedside stand and found the blood pressure cuff and meter we had been looking for since December under the other stand. This indicated that they had not vacuumed underneath either bedside stand for months. We don't have the bedroom cleaned at every visit, but it had been cleaned multiple times since December. Along with the quality, the amount of time spent cleaning also declined dramatically. Because one of us is always home, we were in a position to notice. In addition, when we asked them to clean the fridge and freezer, a common request that has been granted by every housekeeper we have ever had; some asked for an extra fee on those days the fridge was cleaned, others did not. But no one ever did what Senna did: ask that we empty all the food out first and put it all back! Taking out and replacing the items is part of the job. That was outrageous, especially considering we were paying an extra fee for that job. We had already made the decision to let them go but had not told them yet since we hadn't gotten around to interviewing someone new, when we were told they were going on vacation and would be skipping one cleaning. After that date passed we texted and were told they were still on vacation. Two weeks after that we texted to ask when they would be cleaning again, and received no response at all in return. This is why we rated responsiveness and professionalism so low. They just disappeared, abandoning us.

We recently purchased a “fixer-upper” house that hadn’t been maintained or cleaned in several years.  We contacted Senna for a whole house cleaning.  Communication was great – she provided a reasonable estimate the same day that she came out, and her very hardworking crew did a fantastic job of cleaning the house from top to bottom on schedule.

I would certainly recommend their services and will most likely use them again as needed.

She started off doing a good cleaning, but after the third time, the cleaning became faster and less thorough. I found many "missed areas" after she left. Her initial man hours for the work was 7-8, by the third time it was 4.5 with lots of re-cleaning by us. We won't use her again.

The team at Senna Cleaning Services are always responsive and very helpful! They are very professional, do very quick work, and are flexible around my schedule. We have been using their services since October 2015, and are very pleased. The only issue that we have had was an accident while cleaning, and the professionals at Senna came to US and informed us of the issue, instead of discovering the issue later. It was a minor problem, and easily fixed, but the Honesty and Respect that they showed us really has sealed the deal for our commitment to them.

In the beginning they did an excellent job.  Sadly over the last year that has declined.  After Senna finished cleaning, my wife and I began to find many areas where they had not cleaned. I brought this to Birnasa's attention and she committed to do better.  The very next time they cleaned after that we found areas once again where they had not cleaned.  One of those areas was the exact area I pointed out to Birnasa that wasn't getting cleaned.  Her prices are also very high.  We were paying $180 a week for Senna to come every other week.  When we first signed Senna on to clean I was convinced that a higher price would equate to excellence.  It did not!  Lastly......yesterday I received a text from Birnasa suggesting that we find someone else to clean our home.  Although I respect her right to do that, it seems like a pretty unprofessional way to handle things.

They have done a great job - always consistent and they do a great job cleaning up our place.  We are having to hire someone else that can do laundry as well, but for those that need just cleaning services they are great.  They are also very nice people.

I have to be honest, I have never written a review of this kind, but Birnasa and her team deserve the highest praise.  I have a large house and have had assorted cleaning people work for me over 25 years.  They are HANDS DOWN the BEST I've ever had.  I can't say enough about them.  They are punctual, hard working, and so incredibly nice.  I trust them in my home whether I am there or not.  They manage to clean things I wouldn't have thought of, and my house has never looked better.  It honestly sparkles when they leave!  My daughter saw my house after they cleaned it for the first time, and now they clean HER house, too!  I happened to see the one negative review and I feel like they must be talking about someone else.  I would recommend SennA cleaning services to ANYONE.

These ladies worked diligently to remove every speck of dirt and dust from every surface of our home. The bathrooms in particular sparkled.

They were done quickly, but not at the expense of precision.

I would definitely hire them again!

     Birnasa and two of her helpers arrived promptly and immediately got to work.
     I have a large house and 4 very large, long haired dogs. I've only had time the past year or so to do surface cleaning and a thorough, deep cleaning was long overdue.
     These ladies did a wonderful job and were thoroughly professional.
     I was very pleased with the work they did and they are coming back to attack more of the house this coming week.
     I would definitely highly recommend them!!!!!

The last cleaning, I'm not sure they used soap, I didn't smell any after they left, you know that fresh, clean smell it wasn't there. I had to wipe the toilet after they left because it wasn't fully cleaned.  Also, we had dropped a glass of green smoothie on the floor before they came, I cleaned up most of it before they got there, however, there was still green smoothie splattered on the cabinet when they left.    Also, when my sister came by later that day, she assumed the cleaners had not come. Given that I still have to clean after they leave, I see no point in paying for the service, so I discontinued the service.
Also, they broke my slide out kitchen garbage, I had to call her to tell her about it.  No one had called to say it was broken. She did fix it or got it fix, but then she told me that the garbage can I was using was too big and that is why it broke.  I told her we had not had that problem in the last 14 months that we had been using it.

The first time went really well. I thought they did a good job and gave me a good price. But for repeat follow up maintenance visits the price was just too high.

y I had never hired cleaners before, but after having hand surgery, I knew I would need some help for awhile. These two ladies were very professional and hard-working. I was impressed that they rolled up my area rugs to mop the floor underneath them. They also remove the furniture cushions to vacuum thoroughly. They removed marks and stains on my painted woodwork. They ask for feedback and want to know if there is anything they can do better. They arrive promptly and get right to work. I feel very comfortable with these women in my home. They are reliable and trustworthy.

My house has never been so clean! The previous cleaning company I used did only minimal cleaning of areas that showed at first glance, not touching things like the corners of steps, finger prints around wall light switches, and baseboards and lamp shades. Birnasa's company cleans everything and that's no small job at my house because I have 3 dogs and 2 cats--all of them long-haired. Making this an A+ rating is the fact that Birnasa herself is a joy to work with. I am SO pleased and recommend this company highly

I am a landlord that recently purchased a new rental house. The house has a lot of deferred maintenance and hasn't been cleaned thoroughly in years. I recently had a tenant move out and decided to hire a cleaning service to make sure the apartment was professionally cleaned. SennA cleaning far exceeded my expectations in every stage of the process. The owner was responsive to all my calls and very flexible with meeting me after work. She fit me into her schedule so I didn't have a lot of downtime with the apartment.
When it comes to the cleaning they got every area of the apartment clean. The floors were mopped multiple times and walls wiped down and cleaned. Spots on the ceiling that had been there for years had been cleaned. I will definitely use the service again.

I called B on saturday and asked her if she had any availablitiy, she said yes and she came to my house that day, she stayed and cleaned for a long time and did a great job so that we could move in the next day. I was on such a deadline working on the house I just didn't have the time to clean it too- She was so wonderful!!! I would definately call her up again!!

I highly recommed SennA cleaning services. Birnasa (the owner) personally came to our home after a full day's work to assess and give an estimate. Even though she has a full schedule all week long, she came herself the very next day (a Saturday) and worked over 4 hours to give our kitchen a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. She also tirelessly cleaned two toilets and a shower and tub in our bathrooms after us having asked her very last minute. Our kitchen is now literally spotless. It looks amazing. Our bathrooms are also nice and clean now. We can't thank SennA cleaning enough for making us feel like we have a clean home to move in to.
