Ryan Plumbing & Heating

I called Ryan Plumbing to replace the garbage disposal. They quoted me a price that included a $50 service fee as well as an hourly rate. They successfully installed the disposal. However when the serviceman stated the fee, he included a $40 Mileage / Travel charge. This was a charge on how long it took the serviceman to drive either from or to his last job. This was never communicated to me. This is a ridiculous additional charge, how do I know if they stopped somewhere, took a long route, etc.. I will never use them again. Hidden charges should be illegal. I called them three times after and each time I was referred to a manager that would call back. To this date this has not happened. And to add, we never received a receipt.

They were the best plumbing company I've ever worked with. They were quick, efficient, amazing, clean, and the price was the best I've ever had for this job. They didn't have to bring in a huge machine to do it like all the other companies I've used in the past. They came out right away and the problem was fixed so quickly. I will use them again in the future.

Outstanding.  I had worked with Ryan previously on a number of occasions for plumbing, sump and furnace maintenance.  My 25 year old furnace failed right on the verge of the biggest snow storm of the season.  I had been shopping for a furnace for almost 6 mos. so I had about half dozen quotes from a variety of suppliers in the Rochester area.  Frankly I hesitated working with Ryan as I was uncertain about York .. there is a relatively dated Consumer Report that indicates York furnaces are on the low end of reliable.  After looking further, I came to the conclusion this report wasn't entirely up to date so I took a chance.
Of course a big part of my decision was cost.  The Ryan quote was at the low end -- a good thing -- but this is a big investment so I was debating some of the other proposals ... perhaps willing to pay more if I was convinced of higher quality.  I had quotes that were as much as 2-4k higher.  They sounded good but at the end of the day, I went with Ryan for three reasons, (1) my previous experience (2) cost and (3) responsiveness.
Regards responsiveness, they worked on an emergency basis to make sure my family had heat at a critical time.  They installed the furnace within 24 hours and came back later to install the A/C.
They were professional, especially the sales contact and the head installer.  The work seems of high quality with details like humidifier, venting, wiring and thermostat well done.  They answered all my questions and generally cleaned up well. 
I am almost into a year of using the heat and A/C ... working very well, very happy and I recommend them.

I've been using them for many years and I'm very happy with them. They always come as scheduled. Their prices are good and fair. They charge what they say they are going to charge you.

I had a complete overhaul of my heating and A/C system. It was a big investment and Dan Porreca (sales) did great with following up, explaining things, and checking in during the installation and when it was completed. The installers Pete and Paul did a great job and were very professional. As a new homeowner, I had a lot of questions. I am very pleased with Ryan and would use them again.

The install of the system was never right. It took forever to get someone to come back and correct the issues. After a few years we had another another series of service calls and another $1000 in expenses. I just called to get them to come out and fix some of the issues that are still going on and they have not even returned my call.

Very prompt and very quick to get the work done

OK, service was performed, but toilet was still a little loose. When I checked and asked why it was still loose, there was the possibility that something further might be needed. I wish that was explained when the toilet was off, instead of after the fact.

Ryan Plumbing and Heating was fine. They did the job. They are professional and I will use them again in the future.

I heard about them through their advertising. Price wise they are competitive. They missed the due date twice, they were not very punctual. They installed good equipment. The people that installed it seemed like they were good guys. I would use them again in the future.

They came out and during the process of fixing the tub, they broke something and they weren't able to fix it. I called them and they weren't able to fix it. I ended up spending more than I expected. And the "fix" that they did was temporary.

Despite trying, plumber did not find where leak was coming from. His advice was to watch it. After paying $62, problem continues, with ceiling damage worsening. Ceiling is not wet or soggy, but puckering continues to form in two contiguous spots in the plaster.

Ryan Plumbing & Heating was awesome. They were thoughtful and courteous. The job was tough and the gentleman was quick and did a great job.

My overall experience with Ryan Plumbing & Heating is excellent. I use them for everything. It eases my mind to know that a company like Ryan Plumbing & Heating services my home. I know everything is done correctly.

I am very satisfied with the work from Ryan Plumbing. I will continue to use them for all my plumbing needs. I would definitely recommend them to others.
