The worst experience I've ever had with a furniture company. Months late on delivery, mud was tracked through my home when the furniture was delivered (delivery person could have cared less), the furniture is damaged, I've had to wait several weeks for a service person to even contact me. Still nothing resolved. I strongly recommend not purchasing furniture or doing any business with Ruby Gordon!

Our experience with purchasing this sectional at Ruby Gordon was awful! We placed an order for the Pagosa sectional in October 2008 and worked with our sales rep Sharon to choose a fabric from their fabric center. The couch was delivered to us in November 2008, and after sitting on it for one day, we noticed there were large dark spots that appeared when you sat on it, that would not go away from brushing the fabric with your hand or a vaccuum. It almost looked like grease spots. I should also note, that the sectional was delivered with the clips missing that are required to hold the 4 separate pieces together. They said they would schedule a maintenance call to have someone come out and put them on, but in the meantime our couch was sliding all over the place. When we contacted Sharon about the "grease spots" that appeared on the fabric she didn't seem to believe us, so we had to physically take one of our cushions into the store to show her. When another sales rep saw the cushion he immeadiately knew the spots were from the type of fabric we had chosen. The fabric was a rayon blend, and he told us rayon was meant for furniture that was more for show and really not meant to be sat on. Well, when we originally looked at fabric we advised Sharon we wanted something sturdy since we would be sitting on this couch every day and also have two bulldogs that sit with us as well. Assuming since she worked there she would know what fabrics to point us to, we trusted her judgement when choosing the rayon fabric. We told Sharon we wanted a new sectional ordered for us with a new fabric and she said she would look into it. Well, she totally blew us off and after MANY, MANY phone calls and stops into the store we finally got to speak to James Chronkite whose position I am still not really sure of. He told us we had two options 1. Keep the couch in its hideous state or 2. Pay a 30% re-stocking fee and they would order us a new one in a new fabric. The couch cost us $3000 - they wanted us to pay an ADDITIONAL $900 for their sales rep mistake. I just couldn't comprehend that they wouldn't own up to the fact that their sales rep Sharon was at fault. Shouldn't she know about the fabrics they sell?? I suggested Sharon pay the $900 out of the commission she made selling us the sectional, but that didn't fly. Eventually, after much arguing we had to pay $300 to get a new sectional in a new fabric. The new one was supposed to get to us before Christmas and didn't show up until mid-January. Needless to say, the one with the rayon fabric that they so graciously let us keep while the new one was being made looked like complete h*** after 2 months of being sat on. I don't know who would ever pick a rayon fabric if they didn't know that's what it would look like. Also, we paid extra for the stain protection and when we had to make a claim in January it took them 3 months to get a company to come clean the spot. Don't ever buy furniture from Ruby Gordon, they are awful!

The people working there were very friendly when I was there. The sales rep was very helpful at answering questions that we had. I had to go pick up the stuff myself.
