A great experience from start to finish! Five star all the way! The estimate was done by D0nna who was punctual, knowledgeable, experienced and pleasant. Her follow-up communication was excellent. The estimate was detailed and fair. Communications/interactions with owner/managers Steve and Mike were always a positive experience. They are very knowledgeable about the hardwood flooring business and were a pleasure to work with. Installers Charles and Craig were excellent at their craft. They were punctual, worked hard the whole day, and cleaned up at the end. We were very happy with every aspect of the flooring they installed. The flooring that we had installed was a natural pre-finished select red oak from the Hardwood Outlet in Penfield. The folks there, Oz and Levant, were very helpful and accommodating in helping us choose the flooring that would best fit our needs. We took home numerous samples before making our final selection. Like Rochester Hardwood Floors, the Hardwood Outlet is a quality operation. All around, this was a great experience and we are very happy with the quality and value of the finished product. We look forward to recommending Rochester Hardwood Floors and the Hardwood Outlet to family and friends.

I had a very good experience with Rochester Hardwood. Donna came out to give me an estimate and I was impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. I had a total of five companies giving me estimates and I felt the most comfortable with Rochester Hardwood. They were not the cheapest but I felt that they were well worth it. The work took three days and a different crew came out each day. Everyone I met was courteous and did great work. I had had water damage from the pet's water bowls and the floor under the table was very worn. My floor look amazing now, just like new! And it really is dustless! I would recommend this company to anyone and I definitely would hire them again.

Floors turned out great! The wood floor is very old -1890s and they were able to make them beautiful again.

They arrived on time, worked through the day, finished on time, and removed the old carpeting. We are very happy with their work.

Everyone we spoke with was very professional and friendly during the sales process, which led us to choose this contractor. However during the repair we had some issues, and were very surprised with the responses from the company. 1. Before the polyurethane was applied we noticed that one of the newly installed boards was split. We told the contractor on site who assured us that it wouldn't be visible when he was done. 2. Once the job was done we had four issues: The split board was very visible, most of the nail holes had no putty in them, the color was missmatched in one section, and the heat register covers no longer fit because the size of the holes was reduced. 3. We contacted the company and they came out to look. They said they could fix the nail holes and the size of the register openings but that nothing could be done for the split board or the missmatched color. 4. We were very surprised by their unwillingness to fix their error, and expressed this to them. They stated that we had other splits in the portions of the floor that they didn't replace, so we wouldn't notice the difference. 5. Eventually we convinced them to send out a contractor who didn't even know why he was sent - once we explained the issue he took care of the problems that we had rather quickly. except the heat register openings were cut sloppily leaving visible over-cut. All-in-all the after service did not match the sales service, which is very disappointing.

Was punctual with estimate and with getting the work done. well done....

Removal of carpeting and parquet was done quickly. Even though the house has an open floor plan, they covered off the rest of the house to keep dust from spreading. The installation was quick as well. When taking care of an existing squeak, the sub-floor was screwed down which caused a slight but noticeable step in the middle of the entry way. There were also some other minor problems. Kelly personally came to the house to review these problems and all were taken care off within a week.

Three rooms and a hallway in my downstairs are hardwood, and very badly stained by pet fluids and various things. Other companies told me that the stains in my floor simply would not come out and the floors would need to be replaced entirely. Rochester Hardwood floor was able to sand out nearly all the stains and replace the boards which were stained beyond repair, and they did the entire downstairs of my home in a day! The end results were stunning. Prices very competitive and less than anticipated. The workers were professional and efficient, and the end result is stunning.

Everyone involved, from the initial quote and guys on site to the office, were friendly and professional. Everyone was always on time, I was told when they would be there, and they tried to work around my schedule the best they could. Truly dustless, I expected there would be a LITTLE dust, but zero dust. That's pretty impressive, as a former woodworker, I know how hard that is. N/A on the price because I didn't get multiple quotes, but from past experience, I think they were on target; in any case, I feel like we got very fair value for what was done. I will definitely use them again.

The owner (Donna) arrived at our house on the scheduled time.  She was very knowledgable and provided a detail estimate of work that would be performed.  After reviewing four proposals, we selected Rochester Hardwood Floor inc.  The work crew arrived on time to start the project and in a very professional manner completed the living room in the estimated three day period.  Six weeks latter they returned according the the estimate and completed the dining room floor refinishing.  Thoughtout the process, the crew was very professional and accommodating.  The floors turned out looking like a new floor installation.  We would highly recommend Rochester Hardwood Floor inc. and we would use them in the future.
