Quality Carpets & Linoleum

The Quality Carpets place, I would give them a 'F'. I would grade them 'F' for all of the categories. They did a poor job. The carpeting installation was 90 percent okay, good job, 90 percent but the 10 percent, he failed to respond to take ownership of a particular problem that they had. We weren't satisfied. We weren't satisfied with the owner's response to our issues. They said no problem, I will back in, I will do that and we will do this and this and this and when it really came down to the wire, they absolutely refused to do anything. I would recommend them to go out of business and that would help all customers.

Outstanding installers. Accurate room measurements. Timely availability. I cannot beat their prices anywhere in Rochester. It is a relatively modest size operation family owned and managed. You will not get the level of service when choosing your carpet that you would get at Christie's Carpets or other high service level stores. You won't have the huge Christian Flooring showrooms. But the Christies price for this 35 yd purchase was going to be at least $600 - $700 higher. Shop around first, get your prices on specific carpet yarns, face weight, wearability etc. info. Then go to Quality Carpet last. They carry all the major brands. They have far less overhead. It is not in a bad area. Almost at the corner of Carter St. and Norton St. Easy parking. You will save a lot of $.

The price was reasonable. The selection of carpet was good. They were knowledgeable and professional. The installation went very well. They were pleasant to work with.

Our realtor referred Larry to us as we were in a hurry of finding some carpet for our new house. I called a week in advance, scheduled the measurement during the walk-through, met Larry in the store to pick the carpet, and they came to install in two days. We were happy with the store experience with Larry, who was helpful nd informative. The guy doing measurement was very friendly, informative and professional. The only thing we were not so happy with was the guys came to install the carpet. They were punctual and nice at first. After they finished the job, we went to check it and found lots of yarns still left in the room, on the hallway and the staircase--even though they vacumned it. We asked if we can borrow their vacumn machine to clen it up because we just moved in and our moving container hasn't arrived yet that we have nothing we can use, and also we have a 9-month old baby crawling around and putting everything in her mouth. Once we asked, the guy became hostile and said it was only courtesy that they vacumned it, we were going to find a lot of falling yarns because of the type of carpet we chose, and they were very busy that they had another installation to go to. We were stunned. We originally were going to use them for another two rooms carpet installation but now we are going to try other stores.

They did an excellent job. They came out an estimate and did the job the next day.

I found Quality Carpets and Linoleum on Angie's list and called them along with a few other companies. Kim (owner) answered the phone and was very pleasant / professional. We visited the showroom where Kim greeted us and showed us the selection of carpet and linoleum. She was very informative with respect to the different types of carpet and linoleum. We made our carpet / linoleum selections and scheduled the (free) in-home quote for a few days later. The person who came to measure the rooms for the quote was professional, friendly, and informative. The quote was within our budget so we decided to go ahead with the job. We were given a copy of the contract, and Kim called us an hour or so later to schedule the install. A few days later the linoleum was installed, and the carpet was installed the following day. All of the installers were professional, friendly, organized, and did an excellent job. Kim called the following day to make sure we were satisfied (which we were). It was great doing business with Quality Carpets and Linoleum. Kim mentioned they have been in business for 40 years and I can see why. I will definitely use them in the future.

Good people, knowledgeable, agreeable with a can-do attitude. A pleasant experience.

Company personnel arrived as promised, were courteous and professional throughout installation process and responded well to personal requests. The job was completed in the time frame and order promised and the job site was left clean and tidy. Owner performed one of the items on estimate and without question the invoice was reduced by said amount.

Kim, from Quality Carpets, was amiable and helpful throughout our entire process. She discussed options with us at length, even going so far as to suggest excellent lower cost alternatives to what we were considering. She was extremely patient with our process while at the same time consistently working with us to order and install the carpets as quickly as possible once we had made our choice. We were surprised at one point to find the final price higher than what was originally discussed, as the original discussion had not included the binding or installation, just the carpet price.

They came out an measured the same day I was in the store. No nonsense pricing, and best prices of the 3 places I went. Team of 2 installed the carpets in about 5 hours. Great job, overall. No problems whatsoever.

We knew we wanted hardwood flooring, but we had no idea what options were available. Quality Carpets was very helpful and informative when we were making a choice. The quality of the flooring and installation is excellent. They came highly recommended.

Quality Carpets did a wonderful job installing hardwood flooring in our dining room. That is why we came back. They got lost coming here and had to call for directions, but otherwise everything was perfect. It is quality carpeting from a quality company.
