We had a sunroom and deck addition put on our house in 2015. Before you deal with this company you may
want to read my review. Some background on me, I have about 30 years of experience in real estate investing from developing to management. I am pretty familiar with what it takes to repair and build property.
With that in mind?
First the good: The sunroom is gorgeous. On the final day when all was done I was satisfied with the work however getting to the end was another thing. We have a three season Temo sunroom. I love the design; this is not a sunroom with patio doors all around it. I highly recommend this style of sunroom. The deck was done to our satisfaction and is a big plus for our backyard enjoyment.
The not so good news?
dealing  with the company was a nightmare. To begin with they gave an estimated start day of a Monday in August it got to be the Friday before and no one had yet contacted me if they were coming Monday.  The owner finally did call me back late on Friday.  He said they were running two weeks behind. Some communication would have been nice. They also said this would be a couple week job and it took them almost two months to finish.  I wanted to make the deck bigger and it took four calls to my salesman before his assistant returned the call (over 2 week period). He said he was working in Buffalo, like they don?t have cell service there? I never received any reply from the owner on the railing design. It was the day the rails had to go on that I decided the look with the head builder.
The first day they showed up, (no call or warning) they dug the footer holes, did get the inspection but when they showed up to mix and pour the concrete they had no tools. I lent them mine. I asked repeatedly for a final plan drawing the owner never replied to me. When he did show up around the time of the footer holes I had a hand sketch of the plan and told him this is what we are doing. Now I know you have to submit drawing plans to get a building permit, why he never had me review and sign off on them is a shortcoming of this company. I also asked for a copy of the building permit, the owner repeatedly ignored
me again. I went to the town and spoke to the inspector after completion to get a copy of the permit and also found out the
contractor never had a final inspection so I had to schedule an electrical and town inspection.
His head guys were good and knew their stuff however there were days no one showed up or a different crew did from one day to the next. Some of the work by certain employees was poor, namely, crooked wall construction, improper caulking, deck railings not securely built and the floor of the sunroom didn?t even touch the center joist. Naturally every day I reviewed the work and told them the next day fix it. They wasted a lot of time redoing work. They were constantly running to Lowes for supplies, again disorganized.
I found the owner, Mark, tended to only show up on the job when he was looking for more money. If you do work with them I highly recommend that you pay them no more than 50% of the work and the balance upon completion.
There is a fine line between excellence and failure and this company has the potential to be great, they have an excellent product and some really good workers however the owner is disorganized and I?m not really sure if he cares about the quality of his work or just wants money. I have a lot of experience with contractors and I rate them rate at the bottom the way they currently operate. If you have little or no experience in building or repairing property it might be best to work with another company. If you do decide to work with them stay on top of them and hold back money until you are satisfied. I hope this helps.

We met this contractor at a home show and scheduled an appointment for measuring our porch and estimating costs.  We provided a 50% down payment and then didn't hear from them for several weeks.  After I finally got in touch with them, an installation date was scheduled and a crew came for the installation.  One window arrived damaged, and so they returned a month later with the new window - no problems.  It was a bit of an ordeal getting to the actual installation, but I am very pleased with the product.  It is high quality and we will see how it gets through our first winter.

Although we received other bids which perhaps were better, we were won over by the owner's, Mark Tait's, sales pitch and personality. We were informed that the entire job would be completed by the end of June, it took a minimum of six months. I must add that our home was built in 1892 and is of Victorian style. The siding subcontractor hired by Premier Sunroom Solutions was excellent despite the house's twists and turns posed many complications. Part of the sunroom enclosure consisted of the installation of a four track door. The room was enclosed and the floor somewhat leveled. My husband and I installed a laminated wood floor over the sub flooring. Almost immediately we realized that the door was leaking when it rains. We, three times, asked the owner to return to fix the door. To this date, the door still leaks, the floor is ruined, and the siding has faded. The products are inferior in quality and all this time later (6 years) the job is incomplete.

The process did not go well. Mark was a great salesman, but he was not hands on once the job began. It is more that fair to say he is a poor communicator after the contact is signed. The contract was dated 4/5/13, with the estimated start date of 5/12/13 and completion date of 5/27/13.  He wanted 50% of the money up front, so we paid him. His crew never started the project until after 5/27/13, and just finished 9/5/13.
I had to call the town to make sure that we obtained permits, Mark only did that after I called the town. The initial crew consisted of Joe (the contractor) and Steve. They did the metal framing together, then Steve did the wiring. Then Steve went to work on other projects with the company and we were stuck with Joe...who gave me the creeps & smoked a lot. Joe was also LAZY, he often came late and did not do much in the time he was here.
when a subcontractor was hired to do the drywalling & painting he did not smooth out the walls prior to painting. one of the windows was framed with a slant.
I was out of town, my husband is not experienced in drywall, so he did not complain. When I got back to Rochester for a visit, the contractors wanted to sign off on the job they had done. I was LIVID...the workmanship was so poor! Joe the contractor was fired from the company, Joe the Plumber was placed on the do not use list by the company, he did good work, but he was unprofessional, Eric the drywaller will never be used again by Premier Sunrooms.
Steve was sent back to help repair the damage caused by poor subcontracting  choices.
We were then introduced to Ken the drywaller who is fantastic, he fixed most of the problems.  Steve did good work, the basement looks good now, but you have to watch these guys, if you are not picky, your house will be remodeled like a cheap rental property.
Also, did you notice the promised completion date 5/27 and the real completion date 9/5/13?

As noted above, the work started on time and was completed within the agreed upon time frame.  We did have one call back to adjust the threshold on the door.  Steve came and fixed the problem very much to our satisfaction.  We were very satisfied with the quality of the work and especially the value of the product.

We contracted with "Factory Direct Sunrooms" to build a three-season sunroom on our house.  Within a week, a truck arrived, and unloaded the pieces for the project.  Three days later, the contractor arrived, and surveyed the pieces.  He determined that one of the key pieces, a triangular window, was not included.  He stated that he would contact the company to expedite shipping of the part.  In the meantime, he would have his crew begin the work of removing the old deck, and starting the new one.  Two days later, a Wednesday, a crew arrived and began the demolition, but could not begin the new deck until the building permit was issued.  The following Monday, the crew returned, building permit in hand, and started work on the new deck; halting at mid-day to wait for the building inspector to check the depth of the footing holes for the deck pillars.  The inspector arrived on Wednesday, inspected the holes and declared them adequate.  The crew returned on Friday to place the pillars and build the deck platform, insulate it, and cover it with plywood.  They also stripped the siding from the area where the sunroom would be built; and quit for the weekend, reporting that they would not be back on Monday because they had another job to finish.  On Thursday of the next week, they returned; bringing with them the missing window, which had somehow ended up delivered to another job site.  On this visit, the crew leader finally realized that our electrical service entrance cable would have to be moved (he bumped into it while removing the siding); as I had been trying to tell him since the job started.  Call an electrical contractor to get an estimate, contact the power company to schedule their part of the work; and wait another week.  Electric service is moved, power restored.  Roofing tear-off and replacement begins, while construction of the sun room continues.  Eventually, all work is completed, after more than a full month.
Three years after completion of the work, bits of styrofoam begin to fall from the roof, into the sun room.  All attempts to make contact with the company failed (and continue to fail).  A year ago, during a routine insurance inspection, the inspector reported that our 10-years-old roof was beginning to fail.  New attempts to contact THE NEW company are unsuccessful.  The roofing material supplier required information from the contractor in order to process a warranty claim; and we were still unable to reach anyone to help us, and were forced to pay the full cost of the replacement.  It was during the time I was trying to settle this problem that I was finally able to determine that the "Factory Direct" principals were the same as the "Premier Sunroom" principals, but have never received a response to telephone calls or emails to them.

This is the chronological order of what has transpired through the years as best I can explain.

Dec. 1, 2008 9:30AM;
Called to inform them of a water leak in family room ceiling and wall.
Returned call at 10:AM, Mark (Co Manager)said that he would come and see the problem today.
Mark arrived at 1:30 PM and evaluated the problem and said the leak was from the roof and he would have someone come to repair the roof and damage on a warm day.

Dec. 6, 2008 10:00AM
Called to remind company of the problem, I told Pat (Co. President) that my next door neighbor had a roofer repairing their roof and that the time and if they could do something about repairing my roof, he said that they would have someone take care of the problem as soon as they could.

Dec. 15, 2008 10:00AM
Called to remind company of problem, I left message on answering machine said that they would be out of the office from Dec. 9. to Dec. 18 and that any messages or concerns should be referred to Chris Vanhall 339-3348, I called the number and left a message to please call me at his convenience.

Mar. 2009 BCB Show in Henrietta
Talked to Marc, told of the problem of the water leak worsening and that he would call me to address the problem when the weather was warmer. He sent some people to look at the damage, they went on the roof and caulked the area they suspected where the leak was coming from, they said they fixed it and it shouldn?t be a problem.

Mar. 2010 BCB Show in Henrietta
Talked to Marc, told of the problem of the water leak worsening and that he would call me to address the problem when the weather was warmer.

Mar. 2010 Home and Garden Show in Rochester
Marc said he would call on Monday to set up a date to take a look at the problem, he never called, after repeated calls he finally returned the call and said his crew was working in Bath NY and he would get back to me next week.

Apr. 2010
I have called repeatedly leaving a message but he never returned any calls.

Apr. 9, 2010
Marc returned call, said that when we get 2 dry days he will send a crew out to address the problem. He needs 2 dry days so that he can see where the leaks are occurring.

Spring of 2011 to Present
I started calling Marc about the leak in the ceiling again and that mold was starting to form on the wall in the sunroom, he sent one of his contractors to evaluate the problem Steve Scardino. After trying to caulk the suspected area again with caulk with no success, he removed some of the siding and caulked again with no success, by removing the siding so often in trying to locate and repair the leak, the siding is now damaged and Steve tried to repair it by gluing the section of siding back on. I suggested that he remove a section of the ceiling in the family room so that we could get a better idea  of where the leak  was coming from on the inside. Steve informed Marc of the idea of  making a hole in the ceiling and he was reluctant to doing that due to the popcorn textured ceiling and the cost of repairing it, I informed Steve that I had planned on removing the popcorn textured from the ceiling and it would not be an issue. Steve returned the following week and cut away a section of the ceiling to try and locate where the leak was coming from, after doing that, It was determined that the leak was coming from the section of the roof where they claim they had nothing to do with. I explained to Steve that the roof did not leak before they added the 3 season sunroom, but after it was completed. I also explained to him that the crew who did the work was incompetent and that we don?t know what they did when the work was being done, the crew that did the work was fired shortly after this project was completed.

November 26, 2011
Steve was at the house today, he mentioned that Marc said it was okay to tear off the roof as he and I had suggested, he took measurements of the area on the roof that was to be replaced and left. I let a week go by and he never returned or called to give me a date when he would start the repair work. I started to call Steve and Marc and left 2 or 3 messages every day with no response.

December 10, 2011
Steve finally called, I asked why he or Marc did not return any of the phone messages that I left, Steve said that the phone number he had given me was no longer in use (585) 385-1086 and that the new number to reach him would be 975-8473 which is the same number he had given me before which was no good at that time, he could not explain why Marc never returned any calls..
Steve said he would be here next week to work on the problem, when I had asked him when, he replied sometime next week, he could not give me a  specific day. Marc has yet to return any phone messages I left for him.
To this day, I have a tarp covering my roof where the leak is coming from, I have a hole in the family room ceiling, siding missing from the exterior where they tried to glue it back in place and my sunroom in dissaray because they removed the trim to see what the water damage did, and no idea when they will start to repair.

Needless to say that my confidence level in the ability of anyone from this company to do the work is at a very low.
I would appreciate any assistance in this matter.
