Pat's Small Engine Repair diagnosed a problem with tractor as needing an expensive repair of approximately $ 350. minimum. The repair was not recommended, due to tractor's old age. He also discouraged expense of having tractor looked at by others. Based on diagnosis, a metal scrap business was called to pick up tractor. While metal scrap business loaded tractor unto trailer, a neighbor purchased tractor from them and had it repaired for $ 21. Tractor runs fine for new owner and is used regularly. Though my loss is partly due to trust placed on this business without obtaining a second opinion, the business is not trustworthy.
