Steven Luxnor of Palm Painting claimed to have been educated at a German Tech. high school specifically for painting and wallpapering. He assured us we would have a perfect job. Instead, we watched in horror as wallpaper was dug and scraped off the wall, leaving pits and scars in the wallboard. Mr. Luxnor assured us these would be patched and invisible before painting, but we now have a painted, pitted, scarred hall. In the kitchen. he left pieces of paper on the soffits and painted over them--a mess my husband worked for hours repairing with a razor and paint. The baseboards were never completely painted; he left about a 1/4 inch at the bottom of each one, but he managed to get blobs of paint on the carpet in several rooms. He did not see the problems but came back once to touch-up baseboards. The thing is, he seemed touchy and angry at our complaints, and we were frankly a bit frightened of his behavior. We have repaired as well as we can, and have to wait for the money for new carpeting sometime in the future. This was a horrible experience. We did not see him advertising all summer, so we thought he had changed professions or moved, but he is advertising again and, now that I belong to Angie's List, i thought I should share the experience with others.
Description of Work: Stripping wallpaper in hall and kitchen soffits and then painting, painting bedrooms, and painting baseboards in several rooms.

Response from Palm Painting When Quality Matters
Hey Member, first of all, the Job we did for you guys wasn't done in June of 2011. we really apologize for the way you guys think. we think we had to many layers of wallpaper and you guys wanted us out of the House because you had family things to take care of. Not to mention we repainted the Master Bed room not because your were unhappy with the work because you didn't like the color so we repainted the entire Master Bed Room free of Charge!!!!! But yet have to find out you were unhappy it breaks my heart especially after we did the Walk through!!!! I have to read this almost 2 years later!!!
