Palermo Concrete Inc.

I cannot in good conscience recommend Palermo Concrete to anyone. Below are photos of a stamped concrete sidewalk and patio we had done by them in 2023. I have also included photos of when the work was first done. As you can see the sidewalk completely crumbled and parts of the patio did as well. Palermo concrete told us that this happened because of the harsh winter we had last year. We live in Western New York, I would hope they would use concrete that would stand up to our climate. They also blamed us for using ice melt. The patio never had ice melt used on it because we have a hot tub and did not want to track ice melt into it. While we did use ice melt on the sidewalk, it was used very sparingly and only used to prevent someone from falling. We also did extensive research on ice melt and only used one that said it was safe from use on stamped concrete. While they did replace the sidewalk, they would only replace a small portion of the patio.

Great job. Had cheaper quotes, but no others explained the job or the work to be done better. Brought up several items that were not addressed by other contractors. Work to be done and what needed to be done each day was outlined and completed as discussed. From removal to installation and sealing all completed punctually. Patio looks great. Already receiving many compliments on the work. Some of the best contractors I've dealt with. Would be a first call for any future concrete work.

fine at first, finished looked great.  but the following spring there was excessive flaking at many locations in the driveway (43,000 square feet..  We contacted them with out concern again and again, with no return  calls.  finally after 5 or 6 repeated calls, we received a call back.  We asked for them to come out and look at the flaking.    they did not.  finally after many unanswered calls, someone  from the company came out and patched up some of the flaking spots.  the patches looked worse than the flaking.  again after many calls someone came out and used another color patch.  patches still look terrible. we have given up hope that they will ever repair the flaking which should not happen if the mixture of concrete and water were correct. To this day, neither  of the owners of the company have come to see the driveway.    I would not recommend this company as they do not stand by their work nor give you the courtesy of responding..  It has been a very expensive mistake.

The people at Palermos did a great job.  Communication was timely and responsive.  We've have the patio now for 2 years and it still looks great.

I spoke with Marie on the phone first to schedule a quote.  Marie's husband Jeff (no relation to Jeff Palermo from Irondequoit if you were wondering) came out to give us a quote and was very knowledgable and explained everything very thoroughly to us.  We were a little sad that it wasn't going to be until August to do the work so we told them that if anyone cancelled to let us know immediately as we were ready to go.  They has a cancelation this week and came right over, even coming on the holiday to seal the patio.  Marie was great at helping us with picking colors as we were clueless.  We were also very impressed by the price, initially $4,900 for an estimated 500 sf but when they got here I decided to make it bigger and add a colored border which was well worth the added cost.  I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of having any concrete work done.

They did an awesome job. But when taking the front step out they broke into my basement, and created a giant mess I had to clean up. They fixed the hole they put in the floor, but there was concrete dust, debri, and water all over my finished basement. So that was a total pain in the but to clean up, but the patio and driveway came out awesome. I would use them again.

They are very professional and have a great crew that know what there doing. I really enjoyed working with Ron. I Highly Recommend using Palermo's for a patio. Absolutely Beautiful work.

It went well. They were in and out in no time but they did have to come back for some minor fixes.

They said they could match the previous concrete and when they were finished, they were way off. I had trouble getting them to come back to replace it.

It went great. All staff that I interacted with were professional and very helpful. They were always receptive to questions and would call back in a timely manner if they weren't able to answer my call.
There was a slight hiccup with the concrete truck arriving late, but they still managed to get all of the work done in a reasonable amount of time. Ultimately, the patio wasn't delayed because of that.
The patio itself looks great! The only minor issue was some of the lines for the stamps didn't quite line up correctly. however, unless you look closely, it is very difficult to see this.
All in all, Palermo's did a wonderful job and we are extremely pleased with it. Not only would I highly recommend them, but I'm also considering them for another job that is on my to-do list!

It went well except for the few dull spots I noticed which they attempted to come back and reseal. Also my step is a bit lopsided but overall I love my new walkway.

The contractor was very instructive and professional. The crew were all professional, worked very hard and cleaned up after they were done. Everyone was friendly and pleasant to work with. The results were excellent, we couldn't be happier! We highly recommend Palermo Concrete.

The first time I have been let down by a company found on Angie's List. Last year we had them install a stamped concrete patio. I had originally been pleased with the work. They were not as responsive as we would have liked and one of the workers left several footprints in the concrete, however, their price was good and the workers were professional. We would have used them again and planned on recommmending them to others, however, not any longer.

When I spoke with them about care for the driveway, they said I would need to re-seal it every few years. I specifically asked about using salts during the winter and they said it was fine. I used de-icing salts during this winter (just months after having the patio installed) and it caused significant damage to that area. I contacted them on four occasions over several months (from March to June) and did not receive a call back. My wife was finally able to reach Marie and was told that there was nothing they can do about it, but would come seal it for us for $150. We find this unacceptable and certainly cannot recommend this company or use them for our upcoming work.

They are true professionals. They definitely know their craft and are great in executing it. Prices are fair and reasonable.

On the day of the job, they were punctual and did what I thought was a quality job with the exception of the contrasting border. The grout line is pitted and uneven and the color ran. Definitely not worth $6500. I called Marie to complain and it took a number of calls before she returned my call. She came out and looked at the areas I was not happy with and said that when they came back this year to reseal it, they would re-grind it and see if that helped. I started calling them in June and have left at least FOUR messages. Marie returned one call and said it would be $375 for them to come out. I called her back to find out if I was going to be charged to have the border fixed (which i don't think i should be) and I am STILL waiting for a call back. (and I've left another message since then.) So, now it's October and my patio has not been re-sealed (and I also noticed a crack in addition to everything else). I cannot in good conscience recommend them.

Palermo Concrete was excellent! They were responsive, helped me decide which stamps and colors to use and gave me a quality product. I can't say enough positive things about the owner, his wife and team. I would definitely consider using them for other concrete jobs.

Everything went as expected and promised. Given addresses to check out similar work performed. Approved work and work done as promised. Could tell extra care done to make sure appearance was good. Minor blemish repaired to satisfaction. Gotten many complements.

Instead of just pouring concrete and having a plain slab they actually have a process where they come in with his big rubber stamps and stamp patterns into the concrete and make it look beautiful. They can add two different colors. I have a beautiful patio with two different shades of gray and a pattern. It costs more to do that but it was well worth it. Anybody who comes in is going to see that. They did an excellent job. I'm just amazed at the stuff they have out there now for homeowners. There's nothing they did that I had to talk to them about or was dissatisfied with.

Palermo Concrete did an excellent job pouring and finishing my garage floor. I received the estimate within 3-5 days of my initial phone call. We agreed on a price and set the date. They were actually able to fit me in earlier than planned which was great. The slab was poured with the correct pitch so the water would roll out of the garage. The finish was smooth and looks professional. The concrete was sealed as promised and was saw-cut the following day. I had other contractors commenting on how nice of a job they did. Thanks!
