My initial contact was with the owner himself who was very helpful, engaging, and informative. It was necessary for me to contact the office twice to determine the date of the service- apparently providers had become ill. However, when they showed up, they were very prompt, courteous, and worked hard under not very easy conditions. They completed the job to my satisfaction and I would use them again.

O'Neill Rodak was unresponsive when check was received. They required payment prior to scheduling. I called to confirm rec'd of check. They replied that they received it yesterday. It took 3 days to get an appointment, that was after 2 phone calls on my part. After service was complete they just left without saying they were done.
Response from O'NEILL RODAK SURVEYING ASSOCIATES
"Dear [member name removed], My name is Michael O’Neill and I am the President of O’Neill-Rodak Land Surveyors. I wanted to thank you for writing your review with your concerns on our service. It is always our intention to bring the best customer experience to everyone that uses our company no matter how small or large the job might be. After reading your comments I spoke with the employees involved in your project and I feel as though there is room for an apology on my part, but I can also assume a misunderstanding of some sort. I feel it fair that in a public forum that I am allowed to offer my comments back. For small projects such as yours we do insist on payment up front as I have spent far to much time over the years chasing people to get paid after the work is done. This is not a personal reflection on you, but rather a business decision made out of necessity. In the 25 years of owning a business I have been creatively "not paid" more times than I can count. Over 98% of our business is repeat customers and we do extend credit in those cases based on past history. You had mentioned that you had to contact our office a couple of times to get scheduled. We try to return all calls the same day or within 24 hours at most. The last 45 minutes of the day is hectic as crews are returning and there is considerable activity between the office and field personnel. In any event I offer my sincere apology for any missed return calls on our part. If it was missed it was not intentional. Likewise, with scheduling I note that we were able to get your project done within one week of the date of processing upon receipt of your check. This is not an unreasonable time frame for the time of year. You further stated that we left the job site without notification. Perhaps I have misunderstood your comment, but both Crew Technicians clearly remember you being present and witnessing our work the entire time we were on your property. You were conversing with one of the guys during the work and he very clearly remembers answering any questions and noted that you commented on the location of the corners without issue. In all honesty find this comment to be untrue and an inaccurate reflection of the actual situation as you stated. I note that you also graded us as a “C” on quality. You offered no explanation for this rating and since we completed the work to your apparent satisfaction I am again confused as to your thoughts on this matter. If you had further questions or felt there was some inaccuracy in our work we certainly would have welcomed a call to clear up any question on your part. In closing, I would be happy to speak with your personally should you wish to discuss this further. I am home on medical leave, but you may leave a message with the office and I will certainly be happy to reach out to you. Respectfully, Mike O’Neill"

Call them and tell them what you need/want and what it's for and they will take care of the rest.

They responded quickly, made good recommendations, and were accurate. The contractor was very pleased and was better able to dig and set the foundations.
