MONRO MUFFLER BRAKE & SVC

I have had this problem at two different branches. You go for something routine and they try to snow you into a lot of other stuff. Basically tires and everything else. I unfortunately am going to make a sexist statement but I have found this to be true. I am an elderly woman by myself and they see dollar signs all over my face. I really do believe that and the place I am currently going, I do not feel that. I went to have an oil change because it was convenient. It was convenient at that time. I was supposed to get an oil change and a tire rotation. Of course, I get a phone call that my tires were really bad and the one was terrible and this and that. I told them that two of those tires are less than 2 years old. Not to touch them as I want to take them back to where I bought them to see if they are under warranty. He was trying to convince me to buy 4 new tires. I said to let it go. I go up for inspection next month and I will go back to where I bought the tires. To make a long story short, when I got back there and I went to pay them for the oil change. I asked did you rotate the tires. He said no I did not bother. They are in such bad shape why would I bother. I guess he was just annoyed so why would he bother. I did just as I said and went back to the tire place. He said yes they are under warranty but the tires are fine. You have enough tread on them. Enough tread to pass inspection. So, I don't know if they were honest with me or not. This has happened to me once before at a different branch. I don't think they are the most legit company. They are a big company, they are a big chain. When I went for the inspection, they said this is your lucky day, everything is fine. Here is a tire plate. If there was something wrong, they would tell me. I did not want to plant a seed but I said everything is okay, tires and everything. They said yep, you are fine. If I had listened to them, I would have had 4 new tires. I would never go back to them. The price of the oil change was fine. They are very unprofessional. I would never go to any of their branches because I have had a similar experience. Maybe it is apart of their training. That is their moneymaker. They get you in and give you an oil change for $20 then they make up stuff. If you need tires then it is a good move but I believe it is almost walking a line of fraud in my opinion. He still should have rotated my tires.

I go there for routine maintenance on my car (oil change, brakes etc.). This is a good place to go. Cost less than a dealer with same service. I have been going to this garage for years because they are honest and the work they do is good.
