We don't use them anymore because we decided to go with someone better. I have nothing negative to say at all.

Had different maids sometimes. About 6 different ones. Quite often they were late and also a lot of times only one of them would come. Sometimes they were in a hurry because they had a special assignment after mine. Sometimes they didn't have all of the supplies they needed. Like the mop. They weren't very good at getting all of the cobwebs. They were always friendly and I was always there when they came, but I never felt uncomfortable leaving them alone sometimes when I did have to leave before they were finished.

Overall, it went well. Two maids would show up on the scheduled days, sometimes as early as 9:00 AM, other times as late as 2:00 PM. It wasn't always the same two people, there were probably 4 or 5 that came over the course of the few months we used their service, but they were all friendly and courteous. They would do their work in about 2-3 hours and let themselves out.
Our biggest problem with the regular cleanings was the treatment of the blinds. I would come home after the Merry Maids had cleaned and all of the blinds in the house would be crooked, bent and occasionally broken. I joked with my wife that "it looks like they dusted our blinds with a baseball bat." One time, I was working from home when they came and the owner of the local Merry Maids franchise coincidentally stopped by to inspect. I told him about the blinds and showed him where they had been damaged. He offered to replace them. I said that that wouldn't necessary, just try to be more careful from now on, but it continued regardless.
The last time we used the Merry Maids was for a one-time cleaning back in February while my wife and I were on vacation. We left them the code to our garage door so they could let themselves in and clean while were were gone. Everything went well except they had broken a light fixture in the master bathroom. They left a note and offered to replace it if I contacted their office, which is all well and good, but the part that kind of rubbed me the wrong way was that they took the tip we had left for them in an envelope on the kitchen counter. Personally, I think if you're hired to come into some one's home to do a job and you break something, you forfeit your tip. A tip is a bonus you get for doing a good job. But that's just me.
I never called to have the light replaced; it's not worth the hassle over a $15 globe. I am however in the market for a new maid service. my experience with the Merry Maids wasn't terrible, but it could certainly have been better.

they always do a great job!

They do a great job and leave the house very clean. They clean all the small things, they really go the whole nine yards. We have been using their services for about a year. Scheduling is very easy and they accommodate our schedule which we changed quite frequently.

They were late. I had the refrigerator and microwave thoroughly cleaned by the time they came. one girl spent the 4 hours on the kitchen, still had to call the area manager to come with another cleaner the next day to finish her bad job. the other girl did bathrooms and did a great job. However, when she was done I assigned her additional work for the rest of the time. she ended up talking with the carpet cleaning guy in the basement. I came down to my basement and they both got back to work. I was moving. I was cleaning right along with them. I was paying good money and should NOT had to be a "babysitter" . They stayed extra hours and arranged other jobs for that day. Fine, if they get the job done completely, I get it. they did not. area manger came the next morning, no money was given or offered back, instead they has another, more professional cleaner come. DID I MENTION I WAS CLEANING ALONG SIE THE GIRLS. I will NEVER, EVER use this company again, EVER.

Merry Maids sent two ladies who both arrive later than scheduled.. Infact there was no contact from anyone until I called the company to inquire if they had not scheduled correctly. When they did arrive I had done the refridgerator myself and asked not to be charged for the appliance. I started cleaning with them and they still went beyond the two hours. Infact, when the carpet man got there, I later found him and one of the Merry Maids chatting in the basement?!?? Glad I was there to go down and get the cleaning products and rags I NEEDED and remind them what I was paying them all for!!!! Then, after paying for additional hours of service they STILL had left several cabinets in the kitchen not touched At all. The bathrooms were great. So, after the amount I paid I called and the regional rep came by with another lady the next morning before the furniture was delivered to our new home. She admitted it was a poor job and apologized for the bad experience. And I really did appreciate the regional rep coming to my home, but still there was NO % MONEY REFUNDED at all, and I still am so upset by all of it, a year later I am still writing it in herein hopes no one else will have to go through what my husband and I did. It was such a disappointment. I would NEVER, and have not, recommended this company to anyone. I have shared my story with many,however, and those who helped us with our move also saw FIRST HAND and can witness to my account of this experience. Luckily, I enjoy cleaning, cause I have had to take each room step by step over this past year to get things in order. Now with the "A List" I am hoping to try again to look for a company for a possible "contract" for house cleaning on a regular basis. But it will NEVER be with Merry Maids.

Merry Maids of Rochester are very thorough with the work. The house looks spotless, if only I could keep it that way. I have used them for a couple of years now and have really enjoyed having the help.

Merry Maids of Rochester does an excellent job. Two or three girls come and they do an excellent job cleaning, everything looks great when they get done. I would definitely recommend this company.

THEY ARE A WONDERFUL COMPANY. I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR WORK. THEY WERE ALSO VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH THEIR WORK. I DIDN'T RUN INTO ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM. THEY ARE ALSO TRUSTWORTHY.

THEY DO A REALLY GOOD JOB. I AM SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS. THEY ARE VERY RELIABLE. THEY ARE ALSO VERY TRUSTWORTHY. I DIDN'T RUN INTO ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM. I HAVE USED THEM BEFORE, TOO.
