Imagine a cleaning company that doesn't want to clean! Maid 4 Hire started out strong and then I fired them after a string of service errors, billing errors and shoddy service. I responded to their $50 promotion and signed up for their Plus Service. After 6 weeks, my service was inexplicably changed to Basic and I was 'encouraged' to upgrade to a level of service I was already paying for. There are apparently no records kept because the owner could not verify that she ever even knew which package I signed up for. Some weeks checklists were left outlining which work they claimed was done, other weeks no checklists were left. They do a cursory job at best. For example, they will only vacuum around furniture. I took the list right from their website and went through my house looking to see that windowsills were wiped, etc. Without fail I found work that was not completed. They charged me the rate for a house that is 1000 sq ft. larger than my house, claiming that although the website states the rates are based on house size, they charge based on the 'job'. I had to have them return to re-clean after the last scheduled date as it was clear that nothing was done. The floors were not washed and the staff left cleaning supplies behind. Hiring a cleaning service should remove stress from your life, not add to it. The emails they have sent complain that it takes more than 2 hours to clean 4 rooms. If you don't want to clean a customer's house, don't offer cleaning services. Don't advertise that you work to satisfy your customers' needs and then complain that there is too much work to do. I have 3 kids (including an autistic 4 year old), a full-time career, a 2nd home and a terminally ill parent in a nursing home. Hiring Maid 4 caused more problems than it solved. If you want to come home to a clean house and not be overcharged, hire another cleaning service, which is what we have done! They are happy to take my $130 without complaint!

"I WOULD JUST LIKE TO REPLY TO HER COMMENTS. FIRST, IN THE PLUS PACKAGE, LOADING YOUR DISHWASHER IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE LIST OF SERVICES, ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY THAT YOUR COUNTERTOP IS NOT VISIBLE TO THE HUMAN EYE. SECOND, THERE WERE ALWAYS DIRTY DIAPERS LAYING AROUND, AS WELL AS THE WIPES THAT GO WITH THEM. PIZZA HALF EATEN CRUST, MEANING MORE THAN ONE, WERE PILED IN THE KITCHEN. WE EVEN FOUND PIECES OF PIZZA BETWEEN THE CUSHIONS ON THE SOFA. THIRD, WE CLEANED THE ENTIRE 1100 SQ. FT. OF THE HOME, NOT FOUR ROOMS AND WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO GET DRIED PIZZA SAUCE OUT OF A COUCH AND OLD DIAPER SMELL OUT OF ROOMS, IT DOES TAKE A LITTLE LONGER THAN THE ORIGINAL TWO HOURS. I DO UNDERSTAND THAT SHE IS A WORKING MOTHER, AS AM I, BUT THAT DOES NOT EXCUSE THE UNSANITARY WAY HER HOUSE IS KEPT. ALSO, AS MOST PEOPLE ARE AWARE, IT DOES COST EXTRA TO CLEAN THE INSIDE OF A REFRIGERATOR AND STOVE, ESPECIALLY HERS. WHEN WE HAVE TO PAY THE EMPLOYEE(S) MORE MONEY FOR BEING IN YOUR HOME LONGER THAN ANTICIPATED, WE HAVE TO, IN TURN CHARGE FOR THE EXTRA HOUR(S) THEY ARE THERE. THERE IS NOT A CLEANING COMPANY IN THIS COUNTRY, THAT I KNOW OF, THAT CLEANS FOR FREE. IF THAT IS WHAT SHE IS LOOKING FOR, I WISH HER THE BEST OF LUCK IN THAT LENGTHY SEARCH. MY GUESS IS THAT THE AMOUNT OF MAID TURNOVERS IN THAT HOUSE IS RATHER HIGH. I, BEING THE PROFESSIONAL HERE, KNOW THAT THERE IS ALWAYS A BAD APPLE IN EVERY BARREL AND WILL CONTINUE TO RUN MY COMPANY IN THE FASHION THAT IS EVIDENTLY MAKING MY CUSTOMERS VERY HAPPY. GOOD DAY!"
