Lakeshore Construction did a great job! I've had several other contractors comment on the quality of the work and say that Lakeshore is making their life easier because everything is as it should be (square walls, level floors, etc). Henry (the owner) was ON SITE during the ENTIRE job and worked closely with his crew to make sure things were done correctly.
I liked the fact that his team took their time and did a quality job rather than a rush to get in and out. Several of my neighbors commented on the fact that my house took longer than theirs, but they also said the quality was better! It was obvious that Henry wanted to make sure a good job was done and that I would be happy.
I would highly recommend Henry and his team for any job -- big or small. I've been told he does remodeling jobs as well and I'm sure he would take the same care with that as well.
I met with Henry before the project started and outlined what I wanted. He gave me a price and told me what was included. I put together a contract that we both signed and he delivered EXACTLY as promised. Even when he realized that he had underestimated part of the job (the big front porch), he didn't try to charge me more. He kept his word.
The only downside is that Henry is a little "gruff" but once you realize he's harmless and does know what he's doing, we worked well together.
