I first hired Ira to snow plow my driveway because he lived in my neighborhood. He plowed the driveway a few times and then one day he only came and plowed half the driveway. When I called him he told me he only did half the driveway because he just bought a new pickup truck and my neighbors bushes that hung over the fence scratched his new truck so I trimmed the bushes and he came back and finished the season with no problems. I had to request a bill from him 3 times before he finally dropped it off and which I immediatley paid. I then asked him to get 5 yards of mulch for my yard and was going to have him cut the grass, edge and blow off the driveway. He kept rescheduling the date to deliver the mulch and said he would cut the lawn for free until he was able to get the mulch. The first time he came out and cut the grass he only blew off half the driveway. I called about the driveway only being clean in the front of the house and he told me he's going through a divorce and the he was very busy and distracted. I told him he didn't have to cut the lawn until after he delivered the mulch to give him the time to pick up the mulch and he then showed up the next day to cut the lawn. I had another contractor over painting the inside of my house and he was there when Ira arrived and heard everything that happend. I heard him outside working and went outside and told him he didn't need to cut the lawn it was just cut 5 days before and didn't need again he told me he wanted to change my scheduled day to cut the lawn. I told him again it didn't need to be cut that day and he didn't need to cut it until after he got the mulch. He then started screaming at me that I was "just like his x-wife and he couldn't work with me". I told him to leave and he was still screaming at me as he walked to his truck. I told him to never come back. He showed up at my house about a month later and handed me a bill- I told him I didn't owe him anything since he told me he said he'd cut the lawn for free until he delivered the mulch. He told me he wasn't cutting my lawn for free. The bill he dropped off was for a different address on my street and for a different date- since I didn't want to speak to him again I dropped the bill off to my neighbor whose address was on the bill. A few months later I was walking in my neighborhood and Ira passed me on the sidewalk and he told me I needed to pay my bill and I told him the bill he gave me was for someone else and I gave it to them. I again reminded him that he told me he was cutting it for free and reminded him that he didn't even blow off the driveway when he did come. He started screaming at me again and this time he was screaming profanity at me but it was in front of another neighbors child who was out walking his dog. At this point I called the police since this incident involved a child. He is very volatile and would never hire him again.
