We hired Benson to repair our lawn after finding out that we had chinch bugs. While Benson does not handle treatment for insect damage, they referred us to Highpoint Lawn Service. So we contacted Highpoint to spray the lawn to get rid of the I sectsand then Benson to repair the damage in late summer-Fall 2017. When the grass started coming up in early spring 2018, it was about 10% grass and 90% weeds!! Every kind of wee imaginable! I contacted Scott, the owner in early Spring who said he has on his list to come back out and add more topsoil and seed. I said I wanted him to put down a better quality of seed because all I had coming up was weeds. After my husband and I made repeated calls, because they never came out, which they ignored, they finally called and said they were going to come out in late June while we were going through a heat wave. When they came out they were going to put down the same seed. We said no again - that they needed to put something higher quality down which they refused. Meanwhile, Highpoint was treating the lawn according to their recommended treatment schedule. They came out 3 times and after their third visit, the following week we noticed the chinch bugs were back! We contacted Highpoint who refused to take responsibility and said to my husband that they only treated for the chinch bugs once which was the previous fall! My husband said to them, you were just out and you didn’t notice the insects were back? The person started to tell my husband he had a degree in this kind of thing and you usually only treat once. Meanwhile we sank about $1,400 on lawn treatment and repair between these two companies that refer and work together and nobody wants to own it. I have since spoken to 2 other people in my neighborhood who have used these companies and said they stopped after being billed for services not performed. My recommendation to anyone considering using either Benson Enterprises or Highpoint Lawn Service, is DON’T! My lawn looks far worse now than before and I have had to pay someone else to do the work I paid both of them to do a year ago.

Terrible customer service. After 5 years of good customer loyalty, (in spite of fair quality of work), there was one oversight on my part regarding an unwanted lawn treatment. After being berated over the phone by the owner (Terry P.) that it was my "screw up", and it was, I took total ownership immediately, he would not work with me to resolve. Goodbye High-Point, you've reached a new Low-Point this time. Sincerely yours.

Apparently they used the cheapest seed they could find, and I now have over three hundred patches of crabgrass mixed in with my lawn. On April 25th, I was home when they came. They also do both my left neighbor and my right neighbor, and I watched and videoed them as they skipped over half of my yard. It was raining, and so the tire tracks also showed that they skipped half of my lawn. After three years, I was promised a beautiful yard, far from it. I called the office, texted them the photo's and cancelled the service. I was promised a prompt refund since I had already paid for the year. Over three weeks later, no refund. Just called and was told it would be another 3-6 weeks.

I signed up with Highpoint Lawn mainly due to their price for lawn fertilization and weed control.
I should have paid the couple extra dollars to go with someone else.
Lawn never looked worse.  Same weeds from October were still around in June.
When I went to cancel service I asked for a refund for my last visit as stated in their Money-Back guarantee.
The owner said this was not possible and refused the refund.
The reps who came out were nice but why have a money back guarantee if you don't stand by it?

We used the service for a year and a half. We discontinued when, despite their services, large areas of our back lawn were dying and we had begun to grow nutsedge in our front yard. They really didn't have any answer for the dying and their recommendation for the nutsedge was to purchase online a chemical spray that is not approved in NY and apply it ourselves. We stopped the service because we were not seeing any positive results from it.

It got very expensive. I just wasn't pleased so I discontinued the service.

We pay a set amount for a years worth of service which includes 6 - 7 visits. I would recommend them to others and we will continue to use their services in the future.

They are timely, courteous and their products do a great job....in fact there are at least 8-10 homeowners in my neighborhood who have annual contracts with Highpoint.

We were in a new house and had a lot of weeds at the beginning of the summer, but they were all gone within a few weeks of starting our lawn service. They did a great job and our lawn is truly greener than our neighbors' yards...we even had one neighbor ask who provided our lawn service because he noticed our lawn looked greener than his.

Highpoint Lawn Service does good work. They answer any of my questions and if they don't know the answer at that time they will make a point to make a special call to answer it. They put up the little flags so the neighbor kids do not come over.

High Point Lawn Service was very easy to deal with. They always did what they were originally hired to do and were definitely not pushy about wanting me to buy more services. I would highly recommend them.

Highpoint Lawn Service does an outstanding job. The lawn always looks awesome. They always call before they come so I do not leave the dog out. They keep us well informed on what they are doing and have done.
