I got my fence from Home Depot and they had First place fence install it. Couldn’t have asked for a better company. Kari set up the appointment and the employees that came were great. There was a couple of problems that I noticed after they were done and the owner never hesitated to send men back to fix it. I would definitely hire them again if I wanted to get another fence.

I started with NYS Fence and got the run around. Then I called Empire and was told not until Spring. The Ground Guys OF Webster got the perfect fence installed this year! I highly recommend them. Excellent customer service, guaranteed to keep puppy in yard, professional, courteous and neat. They cleaned-up afterwards.

I received a very punctual reply for a quote. A fair price. I was put on the schedule about 2 weeks after I accepted the job. The work was done in day and the crew did a good job with the clean up. I am very satisfied with the work.

The crew was prompt, polite and did an excellent job in replacing a long section of wooden fence for me. It included two gates and they work perfectly. I would hire them again.

After recently closing on a home in fairport - my aunt was moving to fairport from Tennessee and I had a very small window to get fencing installed- having made plans with another company I realized he was not going to accomplish the job as promised - I quickly looked up fencing and Matt was the first person to contact me and was able to fit our job in and finish in the window needed... actually with 2 hours to spare!!!dave and Brianna and their crew were amazing!! They worked tirelessly to make sure my aunt and her dogs were “home” from the moment they arrived.... this was a huge job and Matt promised the fence would look great- and again I will say it’s perfect and we could not be happier!! I highly highly recommend the grounds guys -

Matt (the owner) was great. He was very responsive, showed up when he said he would, communicated well, etc. FYI: Another company no-showed on me and he fit me in. His quote was $2,000 more than two other quotes that I received. Of course, one of those companies no showed on me. And the other had a two month wait list. So, given the circumstances, I'm not sure if I would have actually realized those savings. I just needed the fence up and fast. (We have dogs who are used to having a fenced in yard. Walking them multiple times per day has been a pain). The crew showed up and was polite. The site supervisor--Toby--was delightful. He was always pleasant, answered any questions that i had, etc. My wife was a bit frustrated with the crew as they seemed to take a lot of smoke breaks. However, since I wasn't paying them by the hour, but for the project--this didn't bother me as much. One disappointment--they didn't tell me that they're unable to work on Thursdays due to another job that requires all hands on deck. I wish i had known this ahead of time as it impacted the length of the project, but mistakes happen/people forget. The quality of the work was stellar. So much so, that I've already hired them to complete another project. (That speaks volumes!) I'd recommend these folks.

I have to wait for services to began 2 months. The job was slow but the workers were hard workers and very good job performance. The owner tried to please when differences and discontent happened I will hired them again. I added ton the job some turf to finished the job.

Working with Matt and his crew of The Grounds Guys was a great experience. They installed a new fence for me that was better than I could have imagined. The price came a little under the original estimate. Very happy I chose this company.

We wanted a wooden fence installed, due to weather no one could put it in before September, Matt stated he would squeeze us in, costing 1000.00 more than anyone else if we waited. I did indeed get other estimates, so I know this as a fact. The invoice was not itemized, so you really had no idea what you were paying for, and the cost of each thing being charged. He ordered the cheapest wood, it was warping within a week, called, and reluctantly replaced the ones warped. He stated that it was not a part of his warranty. We wanted nails used that would not rust, he stated the ones he used wouldn't for quite some time, NOT, they were starting to rust within a couple of months. The crew he sent over were the best experience, polite, clean, and very pleasant to have around, They didn't have anything positive to say about the owner, and they didn't have updated equipment, which made their job harder. The nails have popped out in several areas, my husband fixed that. For the extra cost, I feel we should have received excellent service, and quality products. The owner wouldn't call home depot, where he bought everything, because he didn't want to ruin his working relationship for one customer! I told him I would call, that's when he decided to replace the boards that warped thus far. Not having an itemized bill, how is one to know if we had any spare lumber left? They took everything with them! Not happy!

Did not communicate with me very well. Lost my email about what I wanted installed.left a mess for me to clean up.

When I hired this group I thought I was hiring professional fence installers. I quickly realized that that was not the case. I informed them of my concerns immediately and was told I was complaining to soon and to wait to see the finished product. When I was no more happy with the finished product, the owner said he was shocked and had never had someone complain before. The fence posts were never sunk deep enough or cemented in and therefore can be wobbled simply by touching them. I was told that the posts never need to be cemented in and the fence would last for years, however the owner promised he would have his workers come back and cement in the posts. That never happened. They did return and tamp down the dirt around them which made absolutely no difference. I finally just paid the bill to keep from having to have any further dealings with this group.

Took them a while to get to me, but with the weather we had this summer, I totally understood what took them so long to get to my fence project. Once here, they had to stop 3 separate times due to lighting. They could have packed it in, but they waited it out and kept working. Ran out of time to finish in one day, but returned in AM to wrap it up. High quality workmanship, product, and the guys and girls were awesome. Give Matt and his crew a chance on your project, you won't be disappointed.
