DINING FURNITURE CTR

I will try to make a longer story short! I visited the showroom in August of 2013. On August 25th I placed an order to have a table and 4 chairs made at a cost of $2,241 PLUS a delivery fee of $69. That delivery fee included set up. The table was one of those that self-stored the leaf, which was a feature that was important to me for multiple reasons, including I had a small place with limited storage and the leaf was heavy (it was tile). I was told it would take about 8 weeks for my order to arrive, which would place delivery around October 21st. A few follow-up phone calls later....it finally arrived on November 19th. Mind you....they had my $600 deposit all that time. I should have been concerned when the guys that installed it had to drill holes to put the table top on and should have been further concerned when I had to lend them a drill bit. I was just so excited to get my table by Thanksgiving time that I didn't pay attention (I had recently moved into my new place and was eating off a card table). After they got it assembled, much to my dismay, the leaf wouldn't fit in the storage spot. No wonder they had to drill holes....the table top was made wrong; wasn't made for storage. They contacted the store, another long story short.... the store ended up contacting the manufacturer who agreed to do a new table top (the right way). I should have it by Christmas. I am writing this on March 5, 2014. I still do not have my table top. Oh, I did pay the balance due (all but $100). Tammy, from Dining Furniture Center, has been really nice. The others I have talked to there make me feel like I am bothering them. I paid good money for something to be a specific way. They have had my couple thousand dollars since November and I still don't have my correct order. The overall quality of the table is just ok; not spectacular like you would expect for that money. I ordered it because it was American made; I still believe in America, but believe the customer service from the manufacturer could have been better.
